( marc still isn't entirely sure where he falls on the 'is this actually real?' question he's asked himself more than a handful of times since finding himself here, since finding the parchment with his crime(s).

still: it feels real enough, and for now that's enough.

he's dressed in a suit — it's white in its entirety, with small crescent moons serving as buttons and cufflinks. it's — fine. it's an outfit that says he — before here, at least — probably spent a small fortune on dry cleaning, and begs the question of how long it's going to stay looking Like That (answer: not long).

with one leg crossed over the other, there's a breath of a pause before he speaks. this isn't how he normally does this, but then, this isn't normal by any — even his — definition of the word. )

You didn't mention you were a priest when we first met.

[ In theory, the Doctor doesn't particularly have anything against clergy folk. It really comes down to their personalities. But at least he seems to have neutral feelings towards Marc, at least from what he knows of him. ]

Interesting take on a priest habit. But then again, I knew a church where it was rude to wear any clothing at all, so who am I to judge? What exactly does your god preach?

[What a curious guy. Kisara can't quite say what she makes of him just yet, but he seems interesting. The notion of what she interprets as protecting people or possibly escorting them, especially at night, resonates with her. She may not know what she is to Viscint any longer, but she does know that she is good at protecting others.

I think this is a great idea. We still don't really know what to expect here and it wouldn't make sense to assume everyone can handle themselves. I wouldn't call myself an expert or anything, but I was a guardsmen back home. Was it especially dangerous where you came from?

If you're a priest, shouldn't your name be Priest Knight?

[That's really the one initial takeaway he picked up from that. At least to start with.]

That's dramatic and all, but what's a priest doing running around at night? Aren't they supposed to be holed up in churches praying or something?

[Eiji can certainly appreciate someone so well dressed. That is a sign of respectability, and a gentleman. The offer of benevolence, though. That, Eiji doesn't take at face value. As far as he's concerned, such offers never should be. It's just not how humans work.]
