[Rin brushes back some of her hair in an attempt to look presentable to those who could see her. Although, she was unsure about the trinket in her hand, she tries her best to attempt to communicate to those who were here. Maybe she would see the people that she met along the way? Either way, right now, she's settled nicely in one of the inn rooms, with her usual, friendly smile.]

Hi all! My name is Rin. I'll keep this short -- but if you guys are interested in a sparring partner, let me know! I probably shouldn't spill my secrets so openly, but I work for a rebel group back home and used to train people during the war. I have experience with training, so if you need that, I'm open to it! As for sparring; I use my katana. There's some lightning magic that I use with my katana, but to keep the fight fair, I can, you know, not use that.

If anyone is interested, please get back to me!

[There's a pause, and a friendly hum.]

Hello Rin. My name's Rinoa, but I get called Rin sometimes too. Hopefully it won't end up too confusing.

[Drawn to the words Rebel Group like a moth to the flame. Still, Rinoa's a little more calm in this response. Less super outgoing friendly girl and more 'I want to impress you so I'm going to shoot for calm and composed because all the more professional people seem to Like That'.]

Maybe I shouldn't be saying this either, but the group I'm part of? We didn't really have things like training like that. I'm really good with magic and not too bad with ranged combat, but outside of that... I'm pretty useless honestly.

[Rinoa's the type to call it like she sees it, even when it's about her own shortcomings.]

Everyone else I know is so much better, so I'd be happy to take all the help I can get.

Oh, so you're part of a rebel group too? I find it odd that they didn't train you guys for stuff like that, but hey, that's okay. I don't mind teaching you a thing or two, but I wouldn't say you're useless if you have range! What kind of weapon do you use?

I can teach you how to fist fight, if you want. It might come in handy here, if some creep tries to, you know. Creep up on you.

It's called a Blaster's Edge. It's... kind of like if you crossed a boomerang and a crossbow?

[It's hard to explain, and even when she moves the viewport to show where she's stored hers isn't likely to help, because of the complicated design with all the wings and stuff. But Rinoa's got first hand experience about just how sharp the edges are and how well thee wings can tear into things. Eesh.]

I doubt I'd be very good at it, but I guess learning the basics couldn't hurt.

[Zell's tried to show her a few things, but... well, Zell's not always the best teacher. Parsing his instructions of "you've gotta go BAP and then you BAM" way of explaining had proven to be a challenge.]

That's true, but the tyrant that would normally be listening isn't here right now... I guess I'm kind of getting used to the freedom a bit too much. It's nice to not be looking over my shoulder.

[ It wasn't that easy in Menancia, and there's no way it's that easy here. He's at least trying to keep his wits about him, but... well it's kind of hard to when. That. If that's all it takes for him to go that bright red, he's doomed. ]

[She flicks the camera toward her katana that's laying on her bed. It looks otherworldly, to say the least. And that glow is a bit funny looking, but hey, it's her sword.]

It's kind of like a sword, but a lot skinnier.

[ He gets few enough chances for sword practice as it is. At least in ways that don't actually involve people trying to kill him. ]

[She chuckles, and quietly notes his name with a nod.]

Star-Lord? That's a pretty peculiar name... Any fancy meaning behind it?

[Oh that's cute. Endearing almost, and it gets a laugh from her.]

If you're alright with giving me time to recover and pull something together, I'd be glad to take you up on the sparring. I can't say I've gone up against anyone with anything called that before but you're never too old to try something new, right?

Get as much rest as you need, Mister. It's not super important; I just need to make sure I keep up with my training as much as I can. Who knows if, or when we'll go back home -- I just want to be prepared.

[Though, she's pretty curious now. He looked like a trained fighter himself, and seeing those muscles... Were kind of intimidating. Still, it should be a good fight, whenever they get the chance to do so.]

Get plenty of rest, and eat up! I'll want you in tip top shape when we do get to sparring, and those muscles look like they'll need plenty of protein. Though... I'm curious. Why do you need to recover? Did you get into a bad fight before coming here?

[There is something to be said about spilling one's secrets. Kisara agrees that it would be wiser to be a little careful about what one chooses to say about themselves, but... Well. How else can one foster trust? Something has to give eventually. And a little here and there shouldn't do too much harm.]

It would be a good idea for those of us with combat experience have a way of keeping those skills sharp. We haven't needed to use them yet, but that doesn't mean we won't. Maybe we should see if the town might give us a designated area for that? They had the arena during the festival, after all.

Is there an arena? I seemed to have missed it during the festival! ... Then again, I was off eating as much food as I could to drown my sorrows away.

[Rin can't help but note Kisara through the charm. She was definitely built like a warrior, and it captures her attention. Hand resting on her chin, as she leans forward with a smile.]

I wonder if they'll let us use this arena... I mean, I don't want to ruin their crops out on the fields, you know?

[She pauses, then regards Kisara with a soft hum.]

[He is very loud about that, which might mean he just saw Rin's conversation with someone else and is feeling a little competitive about it. He can fight good too, you know! But even though he makes a lot of noise, Wen Kexing seems happy to see her.]

If magic scares them off, you don't want to fight them anyway. They're probably too weak.

[It's amusing that he seems a bit competitive, but still. It's nice to see a familiar face after the festivities, and she can't help but smile.]

I guess I just don't want to zap someone to death during our fight! I wouldn't want to have another charge slapped on my forehead, but I guess you're right. Any warrior wouldn't be scared to fight.

[There's a short pause.]

[Unfortunately, there is much to size up with her, considering she's nearly 6'6. But that can't be seen through the camera.]

Kind of! My Dads taught me how to do hand to hand combat, but it might be kind of spotty. But, all the more reason to practice.

[She pauses, but smiles.]

Yeah, been a fighter for a long time now. My Dads drilled it into me... So now I'm trying to take every possible opportunity to hone my skill. And what better way than some weird place with a bunch of new people I've never met before!

[She grins.]

Apparently there was an arena here, but that's gone now. So I think the next best thing is probably the fields outside of the village. There's plenty of room, even though we might destroy those crops in the process of fighting...
