Whoa, this thing is weird, but I guess I'll give it a shot.

[Rin brushes back some of her hair in an attempt to look presentable to those who could see her. Although, she was unsure about the trinket in her hand, she tries her best to attempt to communicate to those who were here. Maybe she would see the people that she met along the way? Either way, right now, she's settled nicely in one of the inn rooms, with her usual, friendly smile.]

Hi all! My name is Rin. I'll keep this short -- but if you guys are interested in a sparring partner, let me know! I probably shouldn't spill my secrets so openly, but I work for a rebel group back home and used to train people during the war. I have experience with training, so if you need that, I'm open to it! As for sparring; I use my katana. There's some lightning magic that I use with my katana, but to keep the fight fair, I can, you know, not use that.

If anyone is interested, please get back to me!

[There's a pause, and a friendly hum.]

Oh yeah, if you want a meal, feel free to stop by my room at the inn.

Oh, I'm still morally gray, trust me. I'm not about to turn myself over to Nova Corps and start handing out parking tickets. There's a reason I like those stories so much.

[ Peter winks. He wants to make a good impression here, in a new place where he's on his own. But if there's one thing Peter likes, it's talking about himself. ]

For a long time I ran with a crew whose only rule was "look out for our own, and only our own" and that meant screwing over the rest of the galaxy. I mean, it's a big galaxy, so I didn't mind it at first, but after a while I guess... I wanted to feel good about what I was doing, not just how many units I was making, you know?

[This sounds rather familiar to how things are back home, with her underground organization and all of that. It makes her miss home, and there's a solemn smile that slowly appears on her face.]

If that's the case, you would get along with 'Crimson'. Before the war, we were an underground organization. Same concept with them; looking out for their own. If you weren't, well... They don't really care about you. That was before the war, though. Now they take in any members they can, after a lot of our brethren were slaughtered.

[It seems as if this Peter fellow and her would get along quite well. They were quite similar.]

I know how you feel... All too well, actually. You remind me of myself, and I'm not sure how I feel about that, hehe. All the same, I do understand, wanting to feel good about one's self.

What exactly do you do, Peter?

Yeah, the Ravagers were a lot like that. Recruitment shot way up after the Galactic War, Yondu almost put me in charge of my own group.

[ It really does sound similar—guess war truly never changes... ]

Hah, well. Hopefully you're not running into old exes and having to save the galaxy, that's where it'd be really weird if we synced up. But if you really wanna give Star-Lord a listen, I have my Walkman with me, I can put it on.

[ He smirks. ]

I'm a Hero-for-hire. It's a fancy way of saying me and my friends will take any job as long as we think it's right.

That sounds awfully familiar... It's kind of funny, honestly. But I guess being in a war will do that to you.

[Honestly, it's relaxing and relieving to know that they have a similar background. He wouldn't be judgmental about it, and that's relieving in it's own right.]

Hah, I actually did work with my husband for a bit to save the world from a tyrant! Fortunately, I don't have any exes to run into.

[There's a soft giggle that escapes from her, and she leans forward a bit in curiosity.]

Let's give it a hear, then. I want to see what this hero for hire listens to.

You seen one war, you've seen 'em all, I guess.

[ He chuckles. Sometimes you have to make light of a terrible thing just to get by! That's his style of coping, anyway. ]

This might be the only time I say this about being married, but you're lucky. There's not much more awkward than getting stopped for a traffic violation by an ex you haven't seen in twelve years.

[ Not really making yourself sound attractive here, Peter. But you know what? You gotta own it. That's what he's trying to do more now, anyway. ]

Awesome! Gimme just a sec. I'll have to see if this works...

[ He cuts the camera for the sake of not covering the camera with his headphones. But he does indeed put the ear-end on the necklace, assuming that's where the mic is. And soon enough, a song starts to play. ]

[Rin can't help but chuckle as well. She's been through a lot, and she also copes through making jokes, and just overall making light of the situation. It was the best thing you could do after experiencing something so tragic and traumatic.]

Oh, that's pretty awkward... I don't know what a traffic violation is, but it's pretty awkward getting stopped by your ex in general.

[Luckily, she doesn't judge. Although, she thinks that getting stopped by an ex would be pretty awkward in general, even if she has no exes to run into.

Still, she doesn't say much about it -- the last thing she would do is judge him. Instead, she focuses on the music that's being presented to her. Quietly listening to the song that flows through the charm, and into her room. Not minding the tunes that were filling the room.

In fact, she finds it relaxing, since she rarely could listen to music back home.]

Nice tunes, Peter. Listening to this music... Is kind of relaxing. I don't get to really do that back home, so it's nice to be able to just sit here and listen.

Yeah, it wasn't great. We were snooping in a junkyard in forbidden space. [ Ehh, a misdemeanor at best. ] She used my middle name when she arrested me.

[ He has to laugh about it now. Kor-El had him dead to rights, even if it meant embarrassing him in front of his friends and teammates. ]

It's rad, right? Music like this isn't really big in space, either. It reminds me of home, and I like to listen to it to get into the zone. For relaxing, or like when I need to re-center and stuff, I listen to 'Ghost.' Gimme a sec.

[ He swaps out to a new song once the first ends. This is really soul-baring stuff, which is probably why he says the next thing. ]

I probably would've lost it if I hadn't had my music with me.

[ Uh. Wait. He balks. That was too personal? ]

I mean, uh. Well. [ Awkward? Oh well, he'll lean into it. ] Yeah. I've managed to add a few songs to my playlist, but Star-Lord is it for me.

"Forbidden space" eh? Sounds like something my group of friends would get into. ... Hell, I wouldn't mind going into forbidden places here if there were any. If I can track down the people who wrote my charge, I guess I'd do anything, really.

[It's not like she's trying to convince him to do stupid shit with her. But all of it does sound pretty tempting with someone who's awfully familiar to her own self. It makes her happy, really, and honestly, makes it easier to get closer to him. Ever eager to make new friends.

She gives this song a listen as well in silence. Music was such a rarity back at home; no one could really enjoy anything. So, again, it was just nice to be able to sit and listen to music. His openness being greeted with an all too friendly, and reassuring smile. Not wanting him to feel awkward over being honest with her; she appreciated the gesture really.]

Don't worry about it. If there's anything good about me, you can be honest! I don't mind lending an ear. Life's... Rough, without someone to listen to you.

[She grins again, understanding why he likes the tunes so much.]

I can see why. The tunes are nice to listen to.

Right? [ He grins. She gets it! ] Things are only forbidden if people are trying to hide stuff, in my experience. I mean, this time it turned out there was forbidden stuff in there, but... If it came down to things here, I'd definitely go for it. There's gotta be more to this place than what we're seeing, right?

[ Really, if she ever wants to give it a shot, he'll be there. He's always down to forge new friends in whatever conflicts might stem from figuring out this place. ]

Yeah... I went through some tough stuff as a kid, that's all. Things are better now. [ He laughs it off, or tries to at least. All the worst is behind him now, he's glad about that. ] But I appreciate the offer, honestly.

[ He smiles. It's a kind offer. Is this what talking to him feels like? Wow. ]

They're the best! And I mean, everything is better with music, you know?

Well then. All the more reason to go out on an adventure soon, right? I can't stay cooped up in my room all day, and honestly... There's just this nice thrill you get when you're exploring a place that has forbidden stuff in it!

[Someone send help for both of them and their foolishness --]

That's good to hear. But still, offers still there if things end up worse than they are now. ... I mean I guess this is pretty bad, being stuck here and all, but oh well.

[There's a soft smile that appears on her face as well, and she nods in agreement.]

Yeah... Music used to be a thing in my world, but with the war going on and people in hiding, it's hard to enjoy it these days. I'm glad I got to hear some of your music, though.

[ Oooohhh no, she's speaking Peter's language. ]

Geez, twist my arm why dontcha... I might really have to take you up on that. You think maybe that cave they talk about to the north has any treasure in it? Or, you know, a connection to whoever dropped us here?

[ He grins. This is way better than talking about his backstory! (It'll happen one day, count on that.) ]

I've heard that much back in space, too. I'm always happy to share it with anybody I can. Besides, fighting's easier when there's an awesome track playing in the background!

[ #Facts. ]

Maybe both! We won't know until we get to explore it, right? And what better way than to stick our nose where it doesn't belong... You get what I'm saying? You might not have a choice in the matter if I decide to just drag you with me.

[She winks through the charm, but she's being absolutely serious here. She's absolutely going to go with, or without him at this rate, but it seems like the two are completely foolish, so. He may be dragged along, regardless.]

Yeah... Makes you feel kind of like a super hero, doesn't it? Some cool battle music while you fight.

[Nah... Don't give her ideas. She'll really start blasting music while she's fighting.]

You wouldn't have to drag me, I'd be happy and willing to join along!

[ That thing about trouble finding him? The truth is he looks for trouble. If it does not find him, he will simply have to make some. She is definitely invited to the cave adventure later. ]

Now you're getting it! [ That's exactly what he does. He blasts music while he fights. It's his favorite thing. ] You haven't truly lived until you've fought bad guys while an awesome guitar riff goes off in a song. It's awesome.

Good. I haven't... Really explored much here yet; been a bit sad and confined into my room but. If you have any places you've been wanting to go, I'll be happy to go along too. Just say the word, and I'll hop right out of bed!

[The same could be said about Rin in turn. She's... A bit of an adrenaline junkie, and loves a good adventure. She's happy that someone else shares the same feeling as her.]

Then... We'll have to blast some music while we're fighting here. It'll liven things up in the village, and, AND, it'll make us look cool too.

[Someone save them both.]

I hear that... It sucks being stuck here. Besides hearing about that cave, I've been wandering around looking for anything weird, but so far the weirdest thing is how not weird this place is, you know?

[ It's very weird. But their cave adventure is gonna happen now, there's no doubt about it. Adventure is an important part of his being. ]

[ He has never felt more hype since getting here than in this moment. They are on the same wavelength. It's going to be so cool. And he will play his music so loud. ]

Honestly, the residents here are kind of weird, right...? They're all so nice, and it's kind of... Weird. But that cave is a little strange... I kind of want to go take a look at it, to be completely honest with you. A good adventure never hurt anyone...
