Whoa, this thing is weird, but I guess I'll give it a shot.
[Rin brushes back some of her hair in an attempt to look presentable to those who could see her. Although, she was unsure about the trinket in her hand, she tries her best to attempt to communicate to those who were here. Maybe she would see the people that she met along the way? Either way, right now, she's settled nicely in one of the inn rooms, with her usual, friendly smile.]
Hi all! My name is Rin. I'll keep this short -- but if you guys are interested in a sparring partner, let me know! I probably shouldn't spill my secrets so openly, but I work for a rebel group back home and used to train people during the war. I have experience with training, so if you need that, I'm open to it! As for sparring; I use my katana. There's some lightning magic that I use with my katana, but to keep the fight fair, I can, you know, not use that.
If anyone is interested, please get back to me!
[There's a pause, and a friendly hum.]
Oh yeah, if you want a meal, feel free to stop by my room at the inn.

[He is delighted by this idea. Could his new friend really be a secret sword immortal? No wonder she was so casual about walking barefoot and facing the ones that brought them there. Rin must be some ascended being that also got caught in the weird trap they ended up tripping.]
A-ah. We will find a way to send him a message! I'm sure he is fine!
[That is exactly the kind of pain Wen Kexing understands. It might be too optimistic to assume everything will work out, but he refuses to believe that love won't find its way to thrive, even late.]
We'll eat whatever you like. It's my treat! And we can drink as much as you like.
[It's okay if she wants to cry on his shoulder too. Clearly Rin needs friends to vent to when she's been treated so unfairly.]

[Or, she's just very stubborn!!]
Let's hope so. There's... A lot of stuff going on back home, so I hope that he's alright. I'll figure out how to send him a message or something. I'm pretty stubborn and won't give up trying to reach him.
[There is a weak smile that slowly appears on her lips, but it drops rather quickly. It's replaced with her smile that she's grown used to flashing. However, there is a bit of happiness in all of this. She's made a new friend, and one that's treated her so nicely.]
You spoil me, Wen! As long as you let me treat you in return for your kindness, I'll happily accept this offer. Just tell me when, and where and I'll be there.

[And many have. He knows.]
Don't worry. If there is a way, I will help you send a message to your loved one. Even if we have to kidnap one of these gods and force them to send it for us, I'll make sure we abduct the fastest messenger they have!
[He doesn't have any problem yelling these pretty bad statements, which is why he ends up being cut off by something off screen that is clearly a criticism. Wen Kexing huffs, grinning fiercely at Rin.]
When is any time and where is wherever the food is best! I'll buy you a victory dinner after you beat everyone here! Ah, but I don't want you to destroy any restaurants, so we have to find a good place to fight away from that first. Maybe outside.

[Although she isn't joking about the subject matter, it's said with a fairly teasing tone and a laugh. Even in these dark times, she has to laugh it off, or else she'd go insane. So, she chooses to smile, despite how dark that is.]
Sounds like a plan. Looks like we'll be doing some kidnapping and adding to our charges so I can talk to my husband again, hehe.
[It's a comforting thought, to be honest. The smile on her face growing much bigger, despite how much she did miss her husband back home. Still, she had good company here at least, and it made her happy to know that she already made such good friends she would cherish.]
Outside on the fields! That way, the only thing that gets hurt is the dirt around us. But... I appreciate you wanting to buy me dinner. Have you tried any of the restaurants here yet? I've only tried a couple, during the festival.

[He really can't imagine it. Killing others because they are supposedly stronger to prove yourself more dangerous or killing people to steal their secrets, sure, those sound reasonably likely, but killing to transfer strength is definitely something Wen Kexing could never classify as reality. It's like madmen who try to hunt magical beasts, hoping that one day they'll come across one that they can eat and gain some kind of immortality from. Even as a fantasy lover, Wen Kexing is at a loss.]
People hunt you?
[He will definitely find a way to her world just to raise Hell in it.]
Then, whatever we have to do, we'll do it. We'll make sure you can talk to him!
[This is even more important now that he's learned more about her world. She needs to check up on her husband!]
I've eaten at a handful! [He's very proud of this.] Finding good food and enjoying a drink are the important pleasures of life. We need to sample and experience them all. Since we're here, I'm going to find the best ones. It's only a good victory dinner if the food is worth it, right?

[Please. She wouldn't put it past him to be able to go to her world somehow to raise hell. It would be cute, but she would never want him to be in harm's way. Still, she's grateful that someone cares about her so much to feel so strongly about protecting her.... It's enough to make her smile, to be honest, and she can't help but show it through her expression.]
Thank you, Wen. I really appreciate it! I'm sure we'll figure out something.
[There's a laugh that leaves her.]
I'll take your word for it, then. Just let me know when you wanna hit up the town, and we'll go hard at eating.

[ That definitely sounds like fiction. Skill has always been a question of training and technique for anything Wen Kexing has known. He could watch a master a thousand times, slay a thousand heroes, and that wouldn't give him anything but bloodshed and grim satisfaction. A world where ability was just transferrable must be magic. Not that it would ever stop him to know that. ]
Well, they can follow you here and see what happens. Anyway, I'll treat you and we can forget about them for now. Bastards like that deserve a pathetic death where no one remembers them.
