anon text ➡ not a shitpost this time

A question for the Chosen: why have you not banded together already? Some arrivals go back to almost a year, and yet you're still here. You're not without skill. There are summoners, magic users, and bomb makers in this city. Directed efforts could surely overpower our captors if there was direction.

Possibly there are those who want to stay here. Those who are dead in the world that they come from. But what of the ones who want to go home? What do they say? Are they just content to live their lives here while they have unfinished business at home?

It's possible that some of the lack of action is complacency. But others... may be a lack of leadership. Instead of waiting around for someone to save you, have you considered that you might be able to take charge of your situation? What holds you back? The Council? Jerry? That is one man, and an entity that we haven't seen thus far.

For now, it's food for thought. But I'd be interested to know who would actually be interested in leaving this place, instead of playing house in a world that dictates their actions. For those who may want to stay... what would life be like without the "Council" watching your every move?

Too busy making peace and setting up a life plus the Chosen are rather free-spirited types who don't particularly take orders well. Some are also do-gooders.

I expect if one tried to formulate quick alliances, someone would take the leader's head off.

[Hint, hint.]

A leader needs trust and respect in order to lead effectively. No one person interested in a leadership position has earned that from enough people to make for a lasting united effort.

I don't. The complacency or the desperation, whenever it comes. It's conducive to making quick decisions, yes, but not necessarily good ones, and I would consider choosing a leader to be something important enough to not be spur of the moment if it can be helped.

And yes, trust is earned through deeds. Deeds that objectively and visibly benefit those one is trying to lead over a decent period of time, not only days or weeks as an example.

The person above me makes a good point for why not, I believe. Eager as we are to protect ourselves and the people who've given us homes, we are by and large a population of criminals. Individuals stepping up to lead or propose solutions for previous problems have been met with backlash.

I'm not disagreeing with you, mind. Only pointing out what could make this goal difficult.

you make this place sound so dramatic.

but you know those frogs a month ago have 'dictated my actions' more than any council or anyone else here. far as i know they dont actually do anything aside from hand out chores every so often.

I don't think there's anything that can be solved with violence ... If you've seen what's going on, you'd understand that.

When I thought I had merely been transported to a different continent, I was minded to find a ship and sail back to my homeland. But we lack a vessel that can traverse through space and time.

You don't happen to know where we might find one, do you?

[Rolo is waiting nearby while Lelouch types his whole post up, ready to jump in to help swap people towards his ideas. But actually reading the post has him hesitant. He sits there quietly for a bit while his brother is replying to responses and eventually, he sets his tablet down entirely to fiddle with the charm on his phone, his appetite for the whole endeavor now lost.]

...Do you really want to go back that badly?

[He wants to be as helpful to his brother as possible, like maybe if he does enough then Lelouch will truly love him like Nunnally. But what's he supposed to do if Lelouch getting what he wants here means losing him entirely?]

because the only thing more insufferable than the council's constant watching and meddling with my life are dickheads like you who show up thinking they're hot shit and I should follow their orders just because they can write a small novel of meaningless crap trying to sound deep

I'll deal with the council myself. and, who knows, maybe next I'll deal with you too

I'm assuming that you'd want to lead?

Just saying man, you kind of lose your impact when you say all this anonymously.

As you have said, for some of us, this is the only time we have left. I do not begrudge those who wish to return, and I know it cannot last forever. But it is the reason I am happy enough to play along for now.

That said, how do you plan to get people home? Are you capable of traversing worlds so easily? 'Tis a rare ability, and one not so easily accomplished by the average man. We also have no concept of the mechanism that has brought us here in the first place...

There are efforts being made to get answers from our 'captors', as you put it. There's a time and place for aggression, but it's not right now.

But if you would like to help, maybe you could organise a voyage beyond the horizon and let us know what you find. If nothing else, you might find something to explain how the creature we fought last month came to be infected with that black rot.

ok first of all, you seem like you need to touch grass.

second, i assume all the other responses to your little "wake up sheeple" speech have sufficiently answered your question, but just in case you need any more reason to feel like an idiot today, let me give you a little tip: security around here's tighter than jerry's asshole. they've got power dampeners, psychic blocks, memory tampering, reality warping, the works. i haven't been able to punch through any of this shit and if i can't i highly doubt any of these other nobodies have a chance.

Doesn't everyone want to be free of tyranny? I suppose for some maybe there is comfort in familiar abuses.

Is that so? I'll be watching to see how far you go before something inevitability happens to put up roadblocks for your ascent to power and greatness.

Some of us are dead back home and still want to go back anyway.

Stop being exclusionary.
