A question for the Chosen: why have you not banded together already? Some arrivals go back to almost a year, and yet you're still here. You're not without skill. There are summoners, magic users, and bomb makers in this city. Directed efforts could surely overpower our captors if there was direction.

Possibly there are those who want to stay here. Those who are dead in the world that they come from. But what of the ones who want to go home? What do they say? Are they just content to live their lives here while they have unfinished business at home?

It's possible that some of the lack of action is complacency. But others... may be a lack of leadership. Instead of waiting around for someone to save you, have you considered that you might be able to take charge of your situation? What holds you back? The Council? Jerry? That is one man, and an entity that we haven't seen thus far.

For now, it's food for thought. But I'd be interested to know who would actually be interested in leaving this place, instead of playing house in a world that dictates their actions. For those who may want to stay... what would life be like without the "Council" watching your every move?

Supposed "do-gooders" would want to be free from tyranny themselves, wouldn't they?

High stakes situations aren't foreign to me. I'm just setting the groundwork and testing the waters -- while I can act quickly if necessary, real coordination takes time.

Doesn't everyone want to be free of tyranny? I suppose for some maybe there is comfort in familiar abuses.

Is that so? I'll be watching to see how far you go before something inevitability happens to put up roadblocks for your ascent to power and greatness.

In theory. But without conflict, some of those sorts of people would wither without attention for their heroic acts.

You speak as if there aren't always roadblocks and problems. I do hope you don't think I'm so naive to think anything I try will be easy.

There is no existence without conflict. It's the natural order of things, but some use their words, and some use their bodies.

Easy would be boring. Everyone needs a challenge in their life. It's all about one's willingness to make sacrifices.

And a rare few use both.

Both of those things we can agree on. Things worth changing are always difficult.

I've known a few in my lifetime. They're dead now or worse.

Change is based on the strength of one's character to see it through and some luck. I'll be watching your push for change keenly.

That's a high bar. There's not much in life that's guaranteed.

It would be foolhardy to think so. Even the best laid plans can go poorly. The key is to be persistent to one's goal.
