And as such I have been tasked with . . . bonds. Specifically the strengthening of them, physically, or creating new bonds.

What does this entail? I require clarification. I wish to get this over with.

Generally speaking, these sentences aren't about justice as much as they'd like us to believe. [ The whole dumb crimes and punishment theme has always felt like a theme park paint coat over this place to her - especially after the first few months. ]

I've been trying to keep track of the sentencing people around me have received, and often they seem like something you'd read about in self help books.

About the crime, not the sentencing. Even for this place, that's absolutely ludicrous. Though if strengthening bonds physically was your main directive, then the sentencing's just as awful.
