There is not one god, but many. Some live side by side with humanity. Your science may have overlooked them.

There is boundless knowledge that exists beyond the limits of human reason.

The strongest souls can retain a sense of self without being reborn.

And if they are reborn, well... Memories never fully disappear. They can be found again.

Even the strongest of spells can't hide memories forever. Then again, a god could suppress or even change a mortal's perception.

Gods could do many things. That is what makes them gods.

But are you suggesting that found memories might be divine trickery?

It is possible. There would need to be a deeper, broader reason. Most gods are not petty.

There are clues that can be followed. My memories were erased once, but I regained them.
