geass: (to kill)

anon text ➡ not a shitpost this time

A question for the Chosen: why have you not banded together already? Some arrivals go back to almost a year, and yet you're still here. You're not without skill. There are summoners, magic users, and bomb makers in this city. Directed efforts could surely overpower our captors if there was direction.

Possibly there are those who want to stay here. Those who are dead in the world that they come from. But what of the ones who want to go home? What do they say? Are they just content to live their lives here while they have unfinished business at home?

It's possible that some of the lack of action is complacency. But others... may be a lack of leadership. Instead of waiting around for someone to save you, have you considered that you might be able to take charge of your situation? What holds you back? The Council? Jerry? That is one man, and an entity that we haven't seen thus far.

For now, it's food for thought. But I'd be interested to know who would actually be interested in leaving this place, instead of playing house in a world that dictates their actions. For those who may want to stay... what would life be like without the "Council" watching your every move?

Thanks.

[ Yes, she fully well knows he's being sarcastic - or figures it, anyway.. yet she's writing this back all the same.. ]

Either way, if getting out of here was that easy, it would have happened already. Sometimes nothing happening isn't because of a lack of leadership, but just because dumb supernatural circumstances are way out of a regular human's league to deal with.

Fine, fine. But I expect you to do something useful with this information.

Also, if you're actually someone I know and you're just forcing me to regurgitate stuff I probably already told you before just because you want to be mysterious and pretend you don't know me, I'm going to kill you.

[ A very normal disclaimer.

Don't worry about it. ]

Anyway.

1. The whole "crime" thing we were pulled to this place for has to be fake. Some people have crimes listed they never even committed. Other people have things listed that aren't even really crimes in the first place. Sometimes people's crimes randomly change. It's all nonsensical.

2. The Council have some sort of weird power that makes us unable to retain any memory of them, or interactions with them. Either it's their power and they're the ones who drew us in, or there's some mysterious greater force giving them that power, which would make said force what drew us here in the first place.

3. We can't trust any of the locals here. Some of us sacrificed a whole lot of us to some weird sea monster without even feeling bad about it. Given the choice, they'll protect their own over us.

4. We weren't the first people in this place. There were groups before us that are gone now. It's likely that they have been disposed of. I figure the same thing has happened to the people who were part of our group but have disappeared since, rather than them actually having gone home.

I think those are the most important parts to know if you want to try and form a plan as to how to get out of here. They're the factors I've been turning over in my head, anyway.

I can be quick about the answers to the first two, which are both a resounding no. Or maybe someone tried, and I just don't know about it. I don't like hanging out with people who do idiotic things. [ CASUALLY BURNING PEOPLE MID-EXPLANATION.. Truly the Ange Ushiromiya way of doing things. ] And there doesn't seem too much information like that either, no. There were recordings of the people who were here before us, at least, but those seem to randomly appear on our pendants at times before disappearing soon after. If there is any information here, it always seems to be fleeting. I did write down everything I could find out about those recordings, but if you want me to share that information with you, you'll have to come see it in person.

[ Maybe she is curious as to whether this person cares enough to reveal themselves to her or not.

It's kind of an interesting thought. ]

As for the latter, I have circumstancial proof. I found gravestones. They had various names on them, but rather than containing dates like your ordinary gravestone, they had cycle numbers on it.

Call me morbid, but I find it hard to assume that doesn't mean they aren't cycling through groups of people here. Like test subjects, or something like that.

[ .. hold on.

Ange sure doesn't mind speculating about this stuff. She thinks it's kind of interesting, and in the case of a lack of further material and evidence, speculation is just about the only thing they got to try and learn more about this place until more information appears.

But there's something else her mind gets stuck on first. ]

Why would you even need a proxy?

Is someone here out to kill you or something?

[ Why the weird dramatics, Lelouch. They're not in some spy movie right now. ]

They do that with everyone.

[ Does that make it.. better? Worse?

Maybe Ange's implication is just that it means they're not very likely to actually go through on it. ]

If you're really smarter than most of them, you shouldn't have anything to worry about. It's not difficult to outwit them.

[ ...

Lelouch obviously can't hear it, since this is text and all, but Ange is definitely sighing out loud. Just to herself. Dramatic teen and all. ]

If you're really so wary about all this, I'm willing to come to a place you pick or whatever else you'd find safe.

As long as it's not something as dumb as me having to talk to a proxy. We're not international spies.

Also, I can summon demons, so if you're really just a reasonable guy who's looking to learn more about this place and find a way out, I'll keep anyone else away from you with those while we meet.
