I had a strange dream last night I was standing on trial for trying to kidnap someone. My reasons for doing so was because I deemed that someone dangerous to a person close to me. Am I really in the wrong for attempting to do such an action? I need some consultation here.

Whose orders were you going to wait for?

I was waiting on my superior's orders.

Is that superior here?

[ He might be part of the mafia, but that's definitely going past that line! ]
He is, but my actions should be held accountable for myself.

That's very responsible of you. I mean it.
cw: mentions of cannibalism; blood
I guess so. I just don't want my higher-up to be in trouble.

For him it's simply that he is part of a world full of youkai. Eating each other for simple personal gain had long been a norm there, until he had started to spread human ethics and reason among those willing to adapt and learn. Yet even a century ago some beyond help traditionalists had still insisted that human meat was a delicacy, and having cat-based youkai instinctively consider rodent or bird-based youkai prey is sadly a thing that can't be helped.
At least most attempts of eating each other only ended in situations straight out of a comedy routine nowadays.]
They shouldn't be, if that dream was your run-in with the local powers that be. Did they give you some sort of chore or challenge as 'punishment'?

How is it going with the other two? Do you understand the weight and feel remorse?

Understanding that what you are doing is against the rules and why aren't quite the same thing, but that's just the teacher in me speaking. Am I right to assume that the threat he posed outweighs the crime you'd commit in order to 'deal' with him, in your opinion?
