So, catching up with everyone:

-The AI is in Quentin's brain and he can't access that part of his mind anymore.

-There's a tiny Phoenix inside me, no, I'm not possessed yet.

-Kurt's been sentenced and showing side effects of it, namely, turning into stone.

I feel that we all should discuss these things. Or at least, be aware of it. Also, Morph, Rogue, got anything to share? Might as well add to the list.

Yeah I gusss it should be. But this whole thing hasn't really felt fair so far so I don't know if I can even trust them that much.

And you'll give me the world?

[When Morph replies, they've switched to the video feed on their tablet, apparently taking a stroll through the commercial district.]

You bet I will, kid.

[They're looking around for something, and soon after duck around to the side of a restaurant, one that's not currently open. After setting their tablet down on top of a trash can nearby, the view shows Morph standing next to a window that's set into the side of the building.]

You know what? I hate the food at this place.

[In seconds they shift into a baseball uniform, one of the ones with vertical stripes, complete with a bat in their hands. Morph doesn't waste much time; they take the bat in both hands, dramatically roll their shoulders back, and with a solid swing smash the window to pieces.]

Whoops! Looks like I might be engaged in some criminal wrongdoing!

[Kurt watches, with wide-eyed distress.]

Morph!! What- what are you doing?!

[It's clear what they're doing, but that's what worries him!]

I'm letting off some steam. You have no idea now satisfying that felt.

[With the baseball bat slung over one shoulder, they step back over to their tablet and pick it up to take along with them as they start jogging away from the scene of the crime.]

You'd better get out here and turn me in, or else I'll go on a window-smashing rampage.

[He can't believe Morph's taking one for the team like this. And it's not even a baseball team!]

No! Don't do this, Morph!

[As he speaks, he starts teleporting around and tries to figure out Morph's location.]

Kurt, let Morph do this.

[He honestly doesn't think this is a bad idea. Letting Morph take the heat for destroying a window might suck, but letting Kurt turn into stone is not okay. They'll just help out Morph when they get sentenced in turn.]

We'll help them out after this. Don't second guess that.

[Jerry or whoever probably won't hurt Morph that much, right? There's a risk here, but... he finds himself agreeing in the end with the shapeshifter's method.]

[As assuring as Scott can be, Kurt's still hesitant as he mulls that over.]

Y-yeah... Whatever happens, of course I'd help them through it. But I really wish I could just not put them in danger at all...

I know.

[His voice lowers slightly. A part of him wonders if he should've been the one to do a crime or something, maybe just let Kurt turn him in for 'borrowing' Xavier's car, but Morph's already gotten this far. Not to mention it wouldn't change how Kurt's feeling.]

But we don't want to see you hurt either man, or worse.

[He would feel worse for each person he'd have to turn it...]

...I appreciate that, man. Do you think what'll happen to Morph will be... not as bad as what could happen to me?

[He really can't promise Kurt anything, but he still wants to be reassuring. The whole point of this is to get his friend to accept Morph's help and it'd probably be harder if he went 'bad things might happen' to them. Yeah, really convincing.

Scott still mostly thinks that Morph will be fine though-- he'll just make sure it happens. They will be right behind them.]

Doubt it, dude. They'll probably have them fix a window or do some lame confession thing, that's what happened to me when I destroyed a building once.

Oh yeah? That doesn't sound too bad... [It is reassuring at least, to hear about a relatively tame punishment. Maybe it really will be nothing compared to what almost happened to Kurt there.]

Wait, what were you doing destroying a building anyway?

[Oh, right.

Guess it's time for him to talk about this a little more, huh? It happened before any of them arrived, with the exception of Quentin, but he doesn't remember now. He disappeared and came back, after all. It's fine, he can talk about this, especially if it will help Kurt out.]

Remember how I mentioned about getting hit with corruption before? Near the end, I... lost control and destroyed the club building.

[He was lethargic for most of the illness, but at the last day, he suddenly got upset. Angry. Mostly at himself for not being able to help out and feeling useless.]

[Kurt goes wide-eyed.]

The- the Club Building?!

[Here he was half-expecting it to just be some warehouse or Evil HQ or something. You know, a normal type of place that could blow up in an X-Men operation.]

Whoa. Like, completely completely? Or did it get fixed? Have we been in the Club Building 2.0 this whole time?

[There's a lot to try to wrap his head around here! But largely, he does feel grateful that his own corruption didn't get that bad.]

[Morph's not trying to hide, at least - they're walking around more or less out in the open while they're looking for their next target, still wearing the baseball uniform.]

Better hurry up, 'cause Quentin's about to get here and help me make these places a lot more drafty.

No way!! No one else is getting in on this!

[After some more teleporting, he finally spots them.]

There you are! Morph, you can't just strike out for me!

[Morph stops right where they are, greeting Kurt with a wave.]

Sure I can. What those jerks put on you is real unfair, y'know. What're we gonna do if you're stuck as a statue, huh? Put you on the mansion front lawn?

[digthefuzz]

[He frowns while approaching them - with a bit of a limp, as a good chunk of one leg is stone.]

Well, maybe I was meant to be a gargoyle... [He tries to joke.] B-but that doesn't mean that you have to take the fall. OR Quentin! [He adds loudly, just in case the other mutant's in earshot.]

[They aren't trying to run away, at least - since the whole point was to let Kurt turn them in - but seeing that Kurt's having that much trouble with his condition makes them frown.]

C'mon, I bet this'll just get me community service. It'll be nothing I can't handle. If you turn into a statue... that one might be worse than death. We don't know if it'll really kill you, or leave you trapped in it.

[Cutting this off at the pass and preventing it entirely seemed way better than trying to find a solution later. Morph wasn't too sure if any of the Chosen could cure someone turning into stone like that. It's not something you could just rub a cream on.]

[That... does give Kurt pause. Because it brings him back to the start of it all - when Mystique was petrified into stone. They couldn't find a way to cure her, and he never got to say if Agatha Harkness's idea would have worked. So he does feel dread at imagining himself in that position - trapped in stone, unable to interact with anyone at all.

He looks down with a frown, and he sighs.]

It... it is real scary. I really don't even want to imagine it.

[He looks up towards Morph.]

Are you sure about this?

[Hi, he's here now! Quentin can fly, but it's hard to compete with a teleporter in speed. He lands a few yards behind Kurt. He didn't bring any equipment—TK is handy like that—but he did bring his uniform. This is Official X-Men Business, after all.]

Yo, yo! Am I late? What'd I miss? You talk some sense into the kid yet, Morph?

[Quentin was going to just smash up Scott's room, but Morph's idea looks more fun. Regardless, he's not leaving Morph to hold the bag all alone.]
