Salutations to all The Chosen of Aldrip,
It appears that our number of our ranks have increased once again. I am aware that the situation you have found yourself at might be disorienting and far from the ideal. However, I would still like to wish you all a warm welcome. My name is Richard Plantagenet and I have recently obtained the ownership of the inn and the attached tavern. All of you are free to continue your at the establishment there until you find you gather your bearings and find more suitable residency. The nights are turning darker and colder here and taverns have always been the safe haven to the weary and lost travelers. Come and rest your restless bones, the warm drinks are on the house.
As you most likely have learned by now this world does host its own dangers, which vary from monstrous creatures to mind-controlling infections and the ever changing environment. As a countermeasure I have built a training grounds for anyone who desires to practice their combat skills, be they newcomer or older resident. I am willing to teach anyone basic self-defense, swordsmanship, archery survival skills and horseback riding to anyone who is willing to learn. For more advanced training, where 'powers' come into play, I would recommend you to contact an individual named Morph. They might have something that is more suitable for your needs.
If any of you are in need of anything, please do not hesitate to seek me out.
Signed,
Richard Plantagenet.

Come in. [He calls, dropping the papers down on the desk in front of him. Richard leans back on the chair and crosses one leg over a knee. Honestly, it would be pretty impressive and respectable sight, if it wasn't for the white boar sleeping on a comfy cushion next to the desk.]
no subject
… You are Richard, correct? we spoke—well, texted earlier… I’m here, as I said I would be.
no subject
Welcome. Please, take a seat. [Richard gestures at the chair opposite of his desk.] It is good to finally meet you like this in person. I hope that the your stay here has been pleasant enough.

[ She trails off briefly as she makes her way to the chair, pausing only long enough to give a mildly puzzled glance toward the boar lying down on the floor, and takes a seat. ]
You can call me Koharu. 'Sakura' is just a username I decided to use.
[ Although, as far as names go, it technically isn't incorrect. ]
But it's been nice, thank you. I don't really need much, so it's been working for me.

Richard, in return, watches the girl as she walks inside the office. Now that she's closer he finally gets to take a proper look at the girl. And as she turns her head to take a look at Whitey Richard can see the pair of tiny wings on her back -- and uh oh.
He can feel his blood freeze, the hair on the back of his neck standing up, his guts twisting uncomfortably in fear. And for a moment, he nearly forgets where they are, hearing a thunder roaring somewhere in the distance and heavy rain drumming against the window -- like a something was trying to get in.
However, the moment passes when Koharu sits down in front of him and speaks. Richard blinks his mismatched yes, breath finally leaving his lungs.]
I see. [Richard says, collecting himself back together - but unable to thaw the reservation in his voice as he speaks.] Koharu, then. But yes, I would appreciate it if you were able to come and join our staff. The inn has been currently been managed by the locals and their reactions to us have been.. well, varied. I am in need of a trustworthy people.

Deciding to chalk it up to nerves, she presses on. ]
It'd be my first time having any kind of job like this, if... that's okay. But I promise to work hard!

Still, the uneasiness in his body language prevails.]
We all need to start from somewhere don't we. Care to tell what have you been doing before arriving here?
no subject
Well... [ No harm in saying so, probably. ] My job is to help humans fall in love, so I mostly work on that.
no subject
A messenger of Amour, are you? [There's a subtle amusement in his voice as he speaks.] Tell me then, Koharu. How do you fulfill your duties?
no subject
Um, let's see... [ How should she answer this? She's still being careful with her words. ] Do you know about cupids? Or at least, stories about them?
no subject
The cherub? [Now that certainly was something he had not heard of before. Angels, demons, gods and other deities -- yes? But the lesser divine being like cupid? If Richard hadn't been here all these months he would assume that the girl was playing a jest. But.. It would explain her appearance.]
Pardon, but you do not quite fit the picture of the child of the Eros which I grew up with.
no subject
Yeah... We're not exactly like what you see in the stories. [ Even she was surprised, initially. ] But it's what I am, and how we operate is still similar to what you might already know.
