Salutations to all The Chosen of Aldrip,

It appears that our number of our ranks have increased once again. I am aware that the situation you have found yourself at might be disorienting and far from the ideal. However, I would still like to wish you all a warm welcome. My name is Richard Plantagenet and I have recently obtained the ownership of the inn and the attached tavern. All of you are free to continue your at the establishment there until you find you gather your bearings and find more suitable residency. The nights are turning darker and colder here and taverns have always been the safe haven to the weary and lost travelers. Come and rest your restless bones, the warm drinks are on the house.

As you most likely have learned by now this world does host its own dangers, which vary from monstrous creatures to mind-controlling infections and the ever changing environment. As a countermeasure I have built a training grounds for anyone who desires to practice their combat skills, be they newcomer or older resident. I am willing to teach anyone basic self-defense, swordsmanship, archery survival skills and horseback riding to anyone who is willing to learn. For more advanced training, where 'powers' come into play, I would recommend you to contact an individual named Morph. They might have something that is more suitable for your needs.

If any of you are in need of anything, please do not hesitate to seek me out.

My own steed found his way to this world a month ago. And there are other horses at the meadows and farms. Some of them are docile enough to let you mount them.

Thank you, that's good to know. I haven't kept or ridden a beast in quite a while, but lately I've been reminded that even I can't reach all the places here by foot. Hoping for another's goodwill seems too presumptuous to keep up.

for the newbies, I'm Morph! what the Duke's talking about is the Danger Room, a combat simulation room that's been built to handle superpowers and any other damage you might throw at it. it's located in a big mansion southeast from town, if you come this way you can't miss it.

yes, unfortunately.
one does not have to wander too far away from the city borders to the woods to be met with some of those creatures.

during my stay here they have not dared to step inside the city borders.
but i have heard that there have been instances in the past where Aldrip was under an attack. we do not know whether that might happen again or not, so i would prefer us to strengthen our defense and have as many chosen prepared for potential invasion.

there ought to be free and abandoned houses left around the city. i believe the outskirts might be the safest bet, however, it is quite close to the woods.
