Salutations to all The Chosen of Aldrip,

It appears that our number of our ranks have increased once again. I am aware that the situation you have found yourself at might be disorienting and far from the ideal. However, I would still like to wish you all a warm welcome. My name is Richard Plantagenet and I have recently obtained the ownership of the inn and the attached tavern. All of you are free to continue your at the establishment there until you find you gather your bearings and find more suitable residency. The nights are turning darker and colder here and taverns have always been the safe haven to the weary and lost travelers. Come and rest your restless bones, the warm drinks are on the house.

As you most likely have learned by now this world does host its own dangers, which vary from monstrous creatures to mind-controlling infections and the ever changing environment. As a countermeasure I have built a training grounds for anyone who desires to practice their combat skills, be they newcomer or older resident. I am willing to teach anyone basic self-defense, swordsmanship, archery survival skills and horseback riding to anyone who is willing to learn. For more advanced training, where 'powers' come into play, I would recommend you to contact an individual named Morph. They might have something that is more suitable for your needs.

If any of you are in need of anything, please do not hesitate to seek me out.

Well... [ No harm in saying so, probably. ] My job is to help humans fall in love, so I mostly work on that.

[Bless you, Koharu. Always so optimistic. But anyway, that statement does catch Richard's attention. He carefully lifts his chin, looking at the girl with attentive and curious eyes. Now, that was something he hadn't heard of before.]

A messenger of Amour, are you? [There's a subtle amusement in his voice as he speaks.] Tell me then, Koharu. How do you fulfill your duties?

[ That curious look of his doesn't come as a surprise, at least; she's quite aware of how odd she may sound. ]

Um, let's see... [ How should she answer this? She's still being careful with her words. ] Do you know about cupids? Or at least, stories about them?

[Well okay now.. The word cupid actually does make him drop his guard, even if just for a brief second. Richard's eyes widen and brows shoot up in disbelief because.. yeah. Cupids sure are a thing he's familiar with.]

The cherub? [Now that certainly was something he had not heard of before. Angels, demons, gods and other deities -- yes? But the lesser divine being like cupid? If Richard hadn't been here all these months he would assume that the girl was playing a jest. But.. It would explain her appearance.]

Pardon, but you do not quite fit the picture of the child of the Eros which I grew up with.

[ With a sheepish chuckle: ]

Yeah... We're not exactly like what you see in the stories. [ Even she was surprised, initially. ] But it's what I am, and how we operate is still similar to what you might already know.
