hi, its me! jinx, ur favorite loose cannon and demolition diva! im good, how are u? never better.

im in a pissy mood, so WE are going to do something that is fun for me. but firsts thing first:

feast ur eyes on THIS! i know, i know. me? jinx? running a kitty cat cafe? look even a semi crazy chick like me loves these little furballs. and the other me made a KILLER living with this coffee joint. annnd i still remember how to make my famous strawberries n' creme, java chip frappuccino, ristretto, cold brew, and other stuff. soooo why not right? ill still take ur repair orders and junk too. if u need ur guns or weapons made, im still ur girl! i can make ur coffee AND ur bombs at the same time. they go hand in hand anyway.

the first 5 customers who comes to my shop gets to pet and hold fishbones. and THATS a steal offer. so id take it if i were u.

when i get hot and heated, i like to explode my problems away. get rid of them and just shred them into teeny tiny little pieces until they are nothing but worthless worms underneath my boots. have them wiggle all around and watch them fight for survival!

the big wigs or whoever are very picky so how about i blow UR problems away? so. lay it on me. did someone kill u recently and need a cool idea on how to get them back? is someone u love or care for keeping secrets from u and it makes u want to blow up their vocal cords? got into a nasty fight and u want them to apologize to u first cause it's their fault and not urs?

[ Well, when she puts it like that... it kinda makes sense. Ragna lets out a small groan, burying his face in the girl's blankets. He's really not equipped to help her with this one... ]

Guess it's too late to take back my consent to hear all that...

[ The man lets out a sigh, lifting his face up and resting his chin on her bed, his eyebrows drawn together in a scowl. ]

... Still, that's kinda weird. I can sorta understand wanting to keep things under wraps, sure... even though that's more of a teenager thing, not a parent.

[ Honestly, he's more interested in the fact that Jinx seems to have found herself a new boyfriend (?) than her dad's sexcapades, but that isn't the focus right now, so he begrudgingly goes back to trying to figure out what the hell is even going on with this family. He does get the need for privacy and trust and all that, but... ]

And if you've already figured it out, then why bother?

[ it's kinda cute watching him fall into despair and agony like this, but she won't voice her amusement over it. maybe at a different time, place and over something less serious. still, jinx exclaims her point and her frustration by throwing her arms up in the air. ]

Exactly!! — Finally, someone who gets where my head is going...! I know I've talked about killing or hurting his partner and junk, but half the stuff I say I just make it up to make people mad. Sometimes it's funny to see how they react.

[ she drops her hands back onto her stomach, and then she idly sways her feet from side to side with a sigh. ]

And like I've said, actually going through with it, will just have them grow closer, and why would I want that? I want the opposite.

The killing thing might be a deterrent.

[ While he's never had to worry about it, he imagines his siblings would react similarly if he ever had an opportunity to date anyone... So he does sympathize with Silco, if only a little. It's probably just as frustrating to him, too. God, relationships seem so messed up; why can't people just not make things so complicated? ]

Still, he's your old man. He knows you better than anyone, so he should figure out you're not actually gonna do it.

[ Not necessarily because she's not capable of that, but he kinda figures at the end of the day, she doesn't want to harm her father. That's the core issue here, isn't it? They don't want to hurt each other, but they still do, because feelings and crap like that get in the way. If his understanding of the situation is correct, neither of them wants to "give up" the other to their respective lovers, and they're conveying it horribly. ]

'Sides, wouldn't continuing with the charade only make you wanna kill them more?

[ He says that like it's the most natural conclusion to draw, and a perfectly reasonable one. No wonder they get along so well. ]

[ she turns her head over to her companion and her grin spreads so wide as if he just said the magic word of the day or something. and in this case, maybe he somehow did. ]

I'm starting to think you are me from another world, Raggy. Or maybe you're secretly twisted like me, and you're just putting up an act that you're normal for someone.

— But yeah! I told them that too, so we'll just see how far they wanna take this boring, lame game. Pops said he was gonna talk to him about something, dunno what!

[ He figures she means it as a compliment. As for whether he sees it that way... honestly, he'd rather just not think about it too deeply. Point is, he does find it surprisingly easy to follow her train of thought, for better or worse. ]

Guess there's nothing to do but wait? Which sucks, but whatever. I'm sure he'll get tired of the whole secret affair shit eventually.

[ At least, he assumes that to be the case. He can't imagine this sort of act being anything but a pain in the ass for everyone involved. ]

Yyyyeaaah, if I'm super bored with it, then they've got to get tired of the whole thing, too.

[ and to exaggerate just how over it she is about the whole ordeal, jinx lets out an amplifying yawn while she arches and twists her back. ]

— Thanks for coming over, Ragna. I feel now less insane. I thought I was going to SUPER lose it if I kept this to myself for another day.

No problem.

[ Apparently he's already forgotten how annoyed he was with having to climb through her window... but that shouldn't be a surprise at this point. As quick as he is to anger by the smallest things, he tends to forget them just as quickly if the right person is involved, and it just so happens Jinx is one of those people.

The man straightens himself and stretches a little, almost as if he's considering getting up and leaving, but ultimately decides not to. There's one more matter they need to discuss before that. ]

So. [ He clears his throat, the corners of his lips rising slightly in spite of his best efforts to maintain a stern expression. ] ... When were you planning to tell me about your new boyfriend?

[ Don't think he missed that part, missy. ]

[ all seems well until the word "boyfriend" passes her partner's lips, in which, jinx practically chokes on her own saliva. after a small coughing fit, she regains her composure and glances over with a wobbly smile in place. ]

Eh heh heh, what? — "Boyfriend"? Oh, come off it. I don't have any of those.

[ it's not a complete lie, they're not a couple. although, ekko does question her about their status or at least a better clarification beyond just "you belong to me/i belong to you" from time to time. but whenever that topic raises, she evades it completely or continue to recite they are a part of one another, and nothing further. ]

[ Finally, it feels like for the first time in his entire life, he gets to tease someone rather than be teased... and he'd lie if he said it wasn't fun. A rare grin spreads across his face, and while he's certainly enjoying himself, it's hardly malicious; in fact, he's happy for her, really. But the way this has come to light gives him the opportunity to be smug about it. ]

I see the whole "secret affair" crap runs in the family, eh?

[ Look, Jinx has practically given him all the ammo he'd ever need for this one, and she's only digging her grave deeper with the denial. He's clearly not buying it, but he's also not mad at her for not being willing to share more. Again, relationships seem complicated as fuck. ]

It's not like I'm gonna kill the guy, you know.

[ Unless he hurts her, of course. ]

[ she tries to put on an act that she isn't fazed by his tease, in fact, jinx exhales out a loud scoff just to emphasize it, but her expression tells a different story, and the heated glow over her freckled cheeks betrays her. ]

I-It doesn't, and I know you won't! If anyone gets to hurt him, it'll be by me.

[ the teenager averts her gaze from the other -- looking at a lamp near by as if it's something remarkable, until she asks with a drawl in her tone. ]

... Whhhhat do you want to know about him exactly?

[ That's adorable. Ragna lets out a small chuckle and pulls himself up to sit on the bed beside her. He doesn't mean to torment her too much, especially since he figures she might have already been though an interrogation from her dad, but you can't really blame him for wanting to push her buttons juuust a little more. ]

Oh, just whatever you feel like sharing. [ A beat. ] His name, what he's like, where you met, how long you've been together, his address─

[ He's just joking, of course. ]

Ha, ha. Very funny, Wise guy.

[ regardless though, his "sister" rolls over to her side to fetch for her phone and thumbs through whatever she is doing on the screen. there's a few seconds of this until jinx hums a "here" as she hands him over the device. when ragna takes it, he will see a selfie with her and said guy. it's the same picture the two of them used for the okcindr profile, if anyone paid attention. ]

[ The man lets out an amused snort, but his expression softens once she presents him with the picture. He honestly doesn't have an opinion on the boy, since there's not much information to glean from it; instead, his focus in on Jinx. ]

... You look happy.

[ Which is the most important part, so if nothing else, Ekko's scoring some points with him that way. ]

[ she blinks in slight confusion that the first thing he brings up is her and not him. jinx was fully expecting ragna to bombard her with endless questions, but she prefers this, anyway. after all, the teenager gets hounded enough about ekko with her father whenever he comes up in discussion. ]

Well, that day, I beat his high score at an arcade game. He thought I couldn't beat him, but you should have seen the look on his face when I did! Totally annihilation. I live for it.

That so? Atta girl.

[ It's not that he's not at least a little bit curious about the boy... but he's not gonna hound her over it; she can tell him as much or as little as she wants. Her dad and possibly her sister must be a real pain in the ass about the whole thing, he imagines, so he can give her a break. Spoil her a little that way. But he'll definitely keep an eye out for any signs of trouble in paradise, just in case she needs a big brother intervention.

He reaches out to place his hand on her head and ruffles her hair lightly. ]

[ she grins until that ruffle of her hair wipes it clear off her face, and she bats his hand away. but unlike usually, jinx doesn't speak a word of him doing so, yet silently, flattens her hair correctly from the mess-up. once that's done, she extends her hand to him for her phone back. ]

You'll meet him eventually. He likes to explore and junk, so I expect him to peek around your Church to see what's up.

[ Ragna was more or less prepared to get his hand smacked away, so he doesn't think much of it. He hands the girl her phone back, letting out a thoughtful hum. ]

Maybe? Not many people wander all the way up there.

[ Not that he minds; on the contrary, he finds it far more appealing to live out of everyone's sight. ]

Some weirdo does stop by like once a week or so. He leaves some money on the table, too? Dunno what I'm supposed to do with that.

[ For a man who's spent a better chunk of his life living in a church, he really doesn't know how it's supposed to work, huh. ]

Why not just keep it? Use it for when the church gets all fucked or whatever. Things get blown up here all the time, even when I'm not the one doing it.

[ which is wild to think still, especially when she's been getting punished for blasting villages and the like. and yet, she has yet to hear anyone else receiving the same treatment. ]

[ It's an innocuous enough comment, and true on top of that, but it still causes color to drain from Ragna's face. The vivid image of the church's wooden frame being consumed by the sea of flames flashes before his eyes, the sounds, smells, and heat of the incident seared into his mind so strongly he could swear it happened days ago, not years.

The man swallows, trying to regain his composure. His usual scowl is back on his face, replacing his previous laid-back attitude. ]

... If anyone even thinks about it, I'll rip their limbs off and dump them into the sea.

[ her eyebrows fling up due to his direct response, but she snorts immediately, as if what he had just said was some sort of joke or a weak jab. ]

Woooaaahh, pretty hardcore there, Dragon. Guess I better keep my hands off the chapel, huh?

[ Ragna rolls his eyes in response; he can imagine where she's gotten that nickname from, and he's not terribly fond of it. ]

... Yeah. Even you.

[ It's not a threat by any stretch of the imagination; he would certainly be pissed off with her if she were to do anything to the church. Though he's pretty sure he couldn't bring himself to hate her anyway... the same thing happened with his little brother, after all. He used to think he could never forgive Jin for torching their home, but in the end... things kinda worked out. ]

That sounds like a challenge, Buster. I think the next time I visit, I'll draw a smiley face so tiny that you'll be searching for days for it.

[ now would jinx do something that disrespectful to his chruch? it's hard to tell if she will do such a thing, or she just wants to say something that will make his hair stand on end, and have his blood boiling. ]

[ That's the troublesome thing about her, isn't it? You can't really tell if she's serious or not, since she can say the most unhinged things and mean it one second, then turn around and make light-hearted jokes like nothing happened. How is he supposed to keep up? ]
