Salutations to all The Chosen of Aldrip,

My name is Richard Plantagenet, the Duke of Gloucester of England and the son of Duke of York. My time in this world may be merely a blink of an eye compared to some of you who have been residing here for over a full calendar year, experiencing the change of all four seasons under the sky. However, during my brief stay I have come to notice that there are plenty of wrongs in this world, which threatens the peace of our lives here. Now, some of these wrongs might be out of our control, such as the afflictions plaguing our environment. Or the activities of the council. However, this does not mean that we are completely powerless.

It has come to my attention that thee has been a several times when we have been faced with a violent threat and an attack, be it from monstrous creature from the depths of the ocean or a curse spreading among ourselves. I fully believe that we, as a community, could benefit from organizing ourselves so that we might be prepared when the next crisis arrives to our doorsteps.

I call forward anyone with any combat training, be it from military training, self-taught or magically oriented, and share their knowledge to those who might lack skills in self-defense. It is not in my intention to position myself as a leader, nor a raise an army, but to strengthen our teamwork and cooperation as a community. I am myself experienced knight who fought and served my king in a civil war known as War of Roses, and currently I'm learning the usage of firearms under the tutelage of Mr. Valentine. I am willing to train and pass down my knowledge to anyone who is willing to learn. However, I am aware that I am out of my depths and that many of you possesses abilities both as fighters and as tacticians that I could not even fathom. Which is why I sincerely hope those individuals to answer my call and step forward and help create a safer city.

You raise a good point, yes. I, unfortunately, have a very little experience on both areas but if someone who is capable and willing to train us I would be open to add them to curriculum.

As for leadership. I do not wish impose myself as a leader of The Chosen as none of you have a reason to trust me.

I have to agree with you. I've been here over a year now and it seems like the situations we face are only getting more dangerous with time. I'm afraid I'm no soldier, but I'm good with a rifle. I've already taught a few people in their use, but I'd be happy to continue with this. Knowing how to handle a weapon could be the difference between life and death around here.

Magic is forbidden crime that is punishable by death in my world. But I have come to understand that witchcraft is everyday occurrence for many and essential part of their lives. It will be good to have someone who can guide those in such arts that are unknown for someone such as I.

In the long term, not likely. Once we have gathered and found our footing I believe we can discuss over the leadership and whether people feel need for it. I understand that in this, very versatile group of people it can be difficult to find only one who would be capable of leading.

I'm all for self-defense instruction. Last month was dangerous and the more people know to protect themselves, the better. Happy to offer assistance; I've got tactical strategy, hand-to-hand combat, and survival training courtesy of an officer Academy back home.

I am relieved to see that so many others also share my concerns for the Chosen. We witnesses a lot of bloodshed last month, which most was completely unnecessary, to avoid such tragedy I believe we need to be more prepared and organized.

You have impressive set of credentials under your belt. It is always good to see those who have received proper military training to be willing to put those skills in use for good. I shall keep you in my mind, sir.

I'm quite a skilled swordswoman, and as skilled as a healer. The Arztenritter will certainly be able to help with any training injuries, and if there's a similarly-oriented brigade of fighters we'll be happy to work with them!

We did make an effort to do this last year, with Marianne and Claude. Unfortunately, some of our efforts on the logistical end seem to have been wiped out by the change in the world, so it's good to see a revival.

it seems that many people come from realms where they are comfortable teaching women the swordmanship. That is admittedly still new to me. However, I believe your skills as healer will be valuable. So far there hasn't been too many medics to step forward. I know basics and can recognize healing plants from poisonous ones, but my skills pale in front of an actual learned healer.

By Claude you wouldn't happen to mean the duke of Leicester?
