One of the Chosen above was correct in their evaluation of justice and rehabilitation. Justice is subjective, as is "right" and "wrong" are subjective. The fundamental "wrongs" are usually: lying, cheating, stealing, and killing. But humankind does these things all the time anyway in the name of "justice". It's always the ones in power who ultimately decide what to persecute and what not to persecute depending on their beliefs.

In the case of my world, there's a nation named Britannia that wishes to spread their influence over the world. So much so, that they will go to war to spread it. They believe that what they're doing is just, and that they are spreading their wealth, prosperity, and resources to those they deem archaic.

On the other hand, one such country wants to rise up and push back against Britannian influence. They believe that their homeland is theirs, and they will do anything to bring it back -- even trust a man that doesn't show his own face to lead a group that kills and brings war to their lands.

Both sides murder, steal, cheat, and destroy. Both sides see these things as against their laws for normal people, but will allow it in certain situations for the sake of their own beliefs. Objectively, which side is correct? Who should be punished for those transgressions?
