[ When Cloud rolls out of his bed at the inn, he squints at the skyline of Aldrip. Squints at the phone-like device on his table, squints at the incoming light as if somewhat offended at how it's not making dealing with the last month of... whatever that was.
He decides the best course of action is to not get out of bed about it. ]

let's say i have a friend
and this friend might be a little confused about the city.
and maybe this friend is having a little trouble with like
[ ...He was going to say memory issues, and maybe "hey what the fuck happened for the past three weeks", but you know what — until he's sure he's not the only one experiencing them he's just gonna. Not. Talk about that. ]
let me start over
i'm new here.

It stayed mostly the same from when I showed up til now. So a few months.
I'm guessing this is that 'environmental reset' that was in progess a few weeks ago.
no subject
i guess i missed that in the moment.
good to hear it at least wasn't like... this.
kind of reminds me a bit of home now, though, and not in a good way.

[Hooray for being secure in our sense of self and reality vs fantasy!!]
There's definitely more going on than before that's for sure.
Gonna have to figure out where everything is, though.

[ On one hand, glad to know he's not out of the loop. On the other, when everyone's out of the loop... ]

So instead, I'll just say Hello, new friend, welcome to Aldrip! Or... well... the new Aldrip.
- FB.

well, it's a warmer welcome than the city itself seems to be offering me.
so, thanks.
name's cloud, cloud strife.
i guess we get to all be on even footing with the new city, at least?

well if i'm crazy at least i'm only as crazy as everyone else.
the last few weeks haven't exactly been good at making me believe what i see, so i figured i'd check.
[ It's definitely becoming apparent he was not the only one in Delusion City for most of last month. ]
kind of familiar to me though, at least.
