A question for the Chosen: why have you not banded together already? Some arrivals go back to almost a year, and yet you're still here. You're not without skill. There are summoners, magic users, and bomb makers in this city. Directed efforts could surely overpower our captors if there was direction.
Possibly there are those who want to stay here. Those who are dead in the world that they come from. But what of the ones who want to go home? What do they say? Are they just content to live their lives here while they have unfinished business at home?
It's possible that some of the lack of action is complacency. But others... may be a lack of leadership. Instead of waiting around for someone to save you, have you considered that you might be able to take charge of your situation? What holds you back? The Council? Jerry? That is one man, and an entity that we haven't seen thus far.
For now, it's food for thought. But I'd be interested to know who would actually be interested in leaving this place, instead of playing house in a world that dictates their actions. For those who may want to stay... what would life be like without the "Council" watching your every move?

Toph makes a doubtful noise. ] I'm not saying I wouldn't smack 'em if they showed their face in front of me, but what is that going to accomplish aside from making me feel better?

You need to think further outside the box. You make them answer your questions and punish them for ripping you from your world without your permission.

I don't know, that sounds really inside the box to me. About as sophisticated as a little kid throwing a tantrum.
pretend i remembered my html for the last tag lmao
I did pretend!!!!

I'm pretty great, it's true, but the planet-hopping mumbo-jumbo is a little beyond me. I'd probably want to make sure I wasn't making a big mistake I couldn't take back just because I'm impatient.

[ She's genuinely curious, and also not about to sit through the screen reader churning through all the text comments. ]

[ Hi she has never been on the internet before. The concept of 'anonymous' is brand new. ]
I'm not against doing something, but I'm not gonna trust just anyone to tell me what to do.
no subject
Understandable. I'll be making my presence known soon, I'm sure. But I was still curious on what kind of... emotions I would stir up with my words.

[ please tell her that was a test to see if she's a complete idiot ]

[ Toph snorts. She can respect it even if she doesn't have any patience for it herself. ]
It sounds like you need a hobby.

[it's not meant to be a dig, just an observation.]

You're telling me. A girl can only build so many houses before she needs something else to do. And the monsters around here put up about as much fight as a turtle-duck.

Have you any notable abilities?
[he's gonna try... to see what she'll tell him.]
no subject
You can ask me to do something, and maybe I'll consider it if you can ask nicely and with your real human voice.

Earthbending sounds pretty powerful. Is that how you're able to build so many houses?
[she sounds young, so...]

You tell me. I already know you're on a fishing trip, I'm not gonna make it that easy for you.
[ Toph knows she's powerful and great and all and she's not about to be duped that easily. ]
