[Usagi has a notebook in front of her as she sits in her room at the inn. She taps her pencil against her nose, an unseen list in front of her.]

So, back home, when a WHOLE TOWN suddenly went from super nice to super nasty it was usually some sort of mind control. So what do you think? Witches, aliens, monsters, or something else?

That said, we're not exactly HELPING our case with committing crimes here.

[She stares, unimpressed at the camera of the tablet.]

So, I think we should also patrol to help with the crime rate, since, you know, we're stuck living here and we should try to make our lives and the lives of others better not harder for everyone... Especially not making the people who, up until this point, have been very kind to us, HATE US. But more than that, we might not be as quick to accuse someone of something for just existing inside of a store.

With all that said, I guess who wants to patrol with me?

And if no one wants to that's okay. You'll see me around anyway. Whether that means like, at odds or not is an up to you situation, I guess. [Usagi's statement certainly SOUNDS like an empty threat. She's not even 100 pounds when wet, but here she is, very clearly saying she's going to try and help.]

If they're being mind controlled, I don't trust the locals to be, ya know, calm and willing to listen if they've made a mistake about a Chosen. The point would be for us to be more neutral and to help locals and Chosen alike.

It's not about "watching" people, it's about being there instead and helping with the crime rate.

Has it really been that bad? The crime rate, I mean.

[The mention of mind control makes her wince. As one of the ones who was mind-controlled herself months ago when the creature attacked Aldrip, it's a sore subject.]

If you think it's mind control, I feel like patrolling the forest is a better idea than the town...

Well, that part I'm not sure about, but the natives seem to think so. I've only seen Jinx. But all the more reason to prove it for ourselves.

Why the forest? Doesn't everyone live ya know, in the town?

Mmm...

[She doesn't sound convinced, but she isn't going to argue the point, either. Instead, she just frowns, gently tapping her fingers against the side of her tablet.]

A couple months back, there was an... incident. Some of the Chosen got mind-controlled by like, a cult, and a huge monster got summoned. They were hiding in the forest, so... if you really think everyone's being brainwashed, I think the forest is probably a good place to check.

Well, if I get enough people, then we can patrol both. I don't know how big the forest is, though. [And her flight ability is... not available so flying over it is going to be a no go.]

But even if there is a cult, the people they're striking are those in town, so maybe we might catch one of them in the act and then follow them back to their location in the forest.

Unless someone knows where the old location they were in is, I don't know that it's a good idea to go roaming around a forest with no idea of where to start or what to look for.

Do you know where the monster was summoned? Maybe we can head there and look for something.

I don't, but I'm sure there are people who were around during the incident who do.

[As one of the possessed herself, Kotone's shied away from the forest whenever possible, just in case it happens again. Losing control of her Persona hadn't been a pleasant experience, and there were plenty of people who'd been interested in tracking it all down again that she'd been able to sit that part out.

But she just shrugs. Her brows are still a little knit together, but she's not here to dissuade, merely point out what she sees.]

I mean, if it's something that's really important to you, you should do it. It just makes me wonder if we're looking at the right people.
