So, back home, when a WHOLE TOWN suddenly went from super nice to super nasty it was usually some sort of mind control. So what do you think? Witches, aliens, monsters, or something else?

That said, we're not exactly HELPING our case with committing crimes here.

[She stares, unimpressed at the camera of the tablet.]

So, I think we should also patrol to help with the crime rate, since, you know, we're stuck living here and we should try to make our lives and the lives of others better not harder for everyone... Especially not making the people who, up until this point, have been very kind to us, HATE US. But more than that, we might not be as quick to accuse someone of something for just existing inside of a store.

With all that said, I guess who wants to patrol with me?

And if no one wants to that's okay. You'll see me around anyway. Whether that means like, at odds or not is an up to you situation, I guess. [Usagi's statement certainly SOUNDS like an empty threat. She's not even 100 pounds when wet, but here she is, very clearly saying she's going to try and help.]

With the whole town already suspicious of us, isn't a patrol just going to make other "Chosen," [heavy verbal air-quotes around Chosen,] Suspicious of each other? Since now it won't just be the locals watching us, but other Chosen, too.

That seems kind of worrying.

If they're being mind controlled, I don't trust the locals to be, ya know, calm and willing to listen if they've made a mistake about a Chosen. The point would be for us to be more neutral and to help locals and Chosen alike.

It's not about "watching" people, it's about being there instead and helping with the crime rate.

What kind of patrol? I have some experience, but I don't know if it's the same.

[Though even if it is different from what he knows, and prefers, he supposes it couldn't hurt to start doing a hero patrol of his own anyway. If nothing else maintaining a presence ready to help with any problem might do something to improve the opinions of the locals, at least a little bit. And on that thought...]

The mass mind control you've seen back home...how did you figure out that was the cause? If there's any kinds of clues or tells, we could see if they're present here. [Like the brands from the plant-beast's attack.]

We, the Chosen, work in pairs, helping out where we can and how we can. If they need something from us or a Chosen needs something, we're there.

Well, it was things like this. Regular nice people suddenly becoming super vicious. Or like, my best friend's mom who owned a jewelry store suddenly having like, a massive sale that would hurt the business.

Sometimes they would even put out this signal through the television or computers which... ya know, aren't a thing here. But the biggest tell was the massive change in personality.

Then it's naive. I don't hear anyone else offering something to help the locals and protect the Chosen.
