006. 💥(VIDEO) ⇁ TABLET

( there's an extreme close up to jinx's face when this recording starts, a zoom in on her chin and her bottom lip while she attempts to prop the device correctly so it wouldn't tip over. once she's done fiddling around with the tablet, she tilts her head lower for her eyes to lock with the camera's lens. the pinks of her pupils glisten when she holds this unsettling and quiet stare, her breathing is slow, shallow, and audible enough for the tablet's mic to pick up. and if this daunting little personal moment between her and the viewer isn't enough to make them uncomfortable, maybe the curl of her lips will. like her breathing, it dances sluggishly on her face, and there's so much poison polished over them that maybe she mixed that toxin with the lipstick she's wearing. would anyone be surprised if she did?

and what's jarring is after a few seconds, the teenager giggles sweetly and innocently while she bounces a few steps back to give the observer a full body look of her. it's a glaring contrast at what literally just transpired, but that's jinx in a nutshell! one second she's one way and the next, another. the unpredictable loose cannon through and through. as for the outfit, still not dressing winter warm appropriate apparently, but at least it's something to match the season. behind her, is a building wall that's been doodled on by no other than yours truly. jinx takes a half-skip to the left to fully reveal the drawing to the camera with enthusiasm. )

Ta-da ♪!

( she sings out, throwing her arms to gear towards the drawing with jazz hands. )

Whaddya think? The best, right?!

( but before she grants anyone a chance to speak up, the girl disappears off-screen to immediately come back with fishbones, a rocket launcher some may or may not have seen around on her person from time to time. only this time, when she holds him up, jinx tugs on a lever that controls the mouth to move up and down. when she does this, she provides a goofy voice for the machine: )

❝ Looks great, Jinx! But um... are you sure the owner of this shop is okay with you drawing on their stuff? You should always ask permission before dealing with other people's prop—❞

—Blahblahblah, whatever! THIS is the problem with you, Fishbones. You start off hot and then you fizzle out.

( and if that's not rude enough to say to her companion, she swiftly plunges him on the ground by her feet, then steps over him apathetically -- moving closer to the camera. )

But I wanna hear from all of you! Tell me how you like it or maybe give me a few pointers.

( the girl plops herself where she stood, sitting cross-legged on the ground with a keen look shining on her face. )

[ The video opens to everyone's favorite (?) magical girl, except this time she's sporting... a fake nose, moustache and a beard; that's right, she's wearing her Santa disguise for this one! ]

Ho ho ho! Hello, fellow Chosen~ I know we've been through a lot lately, and we all need some rest... However! It's almost time! Can you feel it? I'm sure you do~ Christmas is almost upon us! Oh, but some of you might come from worlds what don't celebrate it! Never fear, Miss Coordinator is here to make things clear! See, Christmas is a heart-warming winter holiday devoted to spreading happiness, joy and expressing gratitude for all our friends and loved ones!

[ Some might say it's not technically an accurate explanation... but who cares! Mitama certainly doesn't, and she's rather happy with the description she's provided. ]

But what is Christmas without Santa? While I have no doubt he can still find his way into this world, he could still use some help! So, without further ado, allow me to introduce you to... SECRET SANTA EVENT!

[ Does she have your attention yet? Good, because the girl doesn't waste any time before launching into exposition. That, too, is a part of her job, after all! ]

What it is, you ask? Well, I'm happy to explain! Santa is a good-hearted old man who goes around bringing presents to those who deserve it during Christmas! But Santa can't do it all himself, oh no! That's where you come in, friends! Why not become a Santa's Little Helpers this year? Well, your lovely and reliable Miss Coordinator is here to make your dream come true! I will be accepting volunteers until the end of the week and after that, I will randomly assign every participant a name of a person! They will then have to get a gift for said person, thus spreading love, joy and happiness, all right in time for Christmas! What kind of a present will you choose, I wonder? A classic, like handmade gingerbread cookies? Something more humorous, like an ugly but warm sweater? An amazing voucher for adjustment services by yours truly (available now for a limited time)? I can't wait to see what you all come up with ♪

[ Mitama winks at the camera, clapping her hands together in excitement. It doesn't come through in her behavior in the recording at all, but it does take some effort on her part to keep up the chipper, energetic attitude for this given the recent events, but she's hoping she can convince people to enjoy themselves a little in these trying times. ]
