So more people have been seeing or hearing weird stuff across the pendants, right? I know some of you have mentioned it.
For those of you who haven't shared it yet, it might be useful to do so. Maybe all of this can be put together into something.
For the record: I saw a few people talking together about getting stuff from 'home.' I imagine they mean from their own worlds, considering someone talked about getting a car, and this place isn't exactly highway central. I don't think I recognized them, so it's entirely possible there was a different group of people just like us somewhere around here before us-- though they didn't look like they were here in town exactly.
You know, unless these pendants are just showing us weird illusions rather than past events. Guess both possibilities are equally ridiculous, just like everything else in this place.
Does anyone also have a clue why some of us are seeing or hearing stuff like this in the first place?
Serious answers only.
[ N-No, Ange, never say that last part.. That last part always jinxes it, girl. ]

Is there a pattern with the people who have seen and heard things like that?
no subject
Not that I've been able to tell so far. Seems like most, if not all of us are seeing this stuff on the pendants, so I'm assuming it's something that's wrong with these things, rather than with us.
no subject
I see, that is rather odd that they're showing it at random. I wonder what for though.
no subject
Even if I'm not sure what to do with just the thing I saw by itself, it does feel like putting everything together might provide some clues about this place. I can't imagine that the forces that shoved us into this world in the first place would want us finding out much more.
[ .. but then again, Ange is just paranoid and cynical enough to assume that sort of thing by default, really. Who would ever assume someone might be trying to do something good?
Not this girl. She never would assume that. ]

(TXT) — DID SOMEONE SAY JINX???????
( unfortunately, a serious and real answer will not come out of this young lass. because the seeing and hearing stuff is an every day thing for her. but at least it's nice to not feel alone in this hell she suffers in. )

Yes, you've got the right answer. You win. Good job.
[ Sure, Ange can't use her deadpan tone over text, but the intention carries over anyway, right.. r-right? ]

Come on, you're not as dumb as you pretend to be.
[ Even if it's more of a troll thing than a feigning ignorance thing, but you know. Whatever works. Ange will do just about anything to get some actual informational talk going on here, rather than just wasting her time. ]

There's no mention of that place on the map, or the desert ruins we were in. Also it's desert backwards.
I'll try and remember anything else.
no subject
Do you remember what they said about religion? Or did they just mention the word religion?
no subject
But they mentioned Aldrip being pretty religious and they brought up Those Who Were There. I think they were doing research or something.
no subject
And by the people here I mean the locals. Not people like us, who showed up here from normal places. I don't know how much you've tried to speak with the locals, but they can seem kind of culty sometimes.

[hmmm]
have you noticed anything else strange happening to yourself? i'd hate for you to get harmed if something's singling you all out.
no subject
It's a little strange, and she isn't really sure how to deal with it. So Ange just opts to ignore that part for now rather than attempting to process it, focusing on the question instead. ]
I don't think so. I feel the same way I always do.
I haven't seen any of those weird marks appearing on me that the people out in the desert had either. [ The ones that seem to make people lose their mind. ]
no subject
if anything changes, please contact me asap. my name's Leanne, and i work at the clinic most days.
i was there when they appeared on people here. it started off as something no larger than a standard tattoo... from there, it kept growing until it took over.
no subject
There's a slight pause on Ange's end, and then Leanne may find a very simple message waiting for her. ]
Are you worried?
[ It kind of sounds like the other is - even though it's still weird to Ange, hence why she can't do anything but just plainly ask that question. ]

There was this beaten up dude holding up a sword and said something like 'We can't get caught again and that he'll teach people to defend themselves. And not letting some hooded guys mess with them again.'
no subject
[ No judgement upon you though, Scott. Ange is pretty sure that whatever people are seeing is totally random, at least, since what she saw didn't feel like it had anything to do with her personally either.. ]
What do you think he was talking about? [ Since that sounds way vague. Maybe Scott got a little bit more from seeing it. Some context clues, or something.
Also, see, Scott! Ange trusts you to be serious when you're not waving around Twinkies. Good job. ]
no subject
Sword guy probably lost a fight, because he looked all beaten up and everything. Wish I knew more about those hooded guys he referenced though. Maybe they're the same assholes people were talking about a couple of months ago.

As you've already inferred there WAS a different group of people somewhere around here before!
How do I know? Well? Ask me!
no subject
But she does want what information he is - if he does have any, since Ange isn't sure if he's just trolling her here or not - so she'll have to put up with it.
Just her luck, huh. ]
How do you know?
[ Not the most amusing way to play along, right.. B-But at least she is playing along? A little? ]

Some time ago I tried to connect to this very network! Yes! This very one. Can you predict what it is I overheard?
[ Gogol attaches a transcript of his own making according to his memory. It's of this conversation but some of the information is either misremembered or intentionally messed with. The duo talk about aliens for waaaaay longer in the transcript than they did in reality. ]

Did the familiar voice belong to anyone in particular you know from back home? Or did it just feel generally familiar without you being able to specify who it was?
