So more people have been seeing or hearing weird stuff across the pendants, right? I know some of you have mentioned it.

For those of you who haven't shared it yet, it might be useful to do so. Maybe all of this can be put together into something.

For the record: I saw a few people talking together about getting stuff from 'home.' I imagine they mean from their own worlds, considering someone talked about getting a car, and this place isn't exactly highway central. I don't think I recognized them, so it's entirely possible there was a different group of people just like us somewhere around here before us-- though they didn't look like they were here in town exactly.

You know, unless these pendants are just showing us weird illusions rather than past events. Guess both possibilities are equally ridiculous, just like everything else in this place.

Does anyone also have a clue why some of us are seeing or hearing stuff like this in the first place?

( unfortunately, a serious and real answer will not come out of this young lass. because the seeing and hearing stuff is an every day thing for her. but at least it's nice to not feel alone in this hell she suffers in. )

I heard some people talking about a place called Tresed. Also something about religion and how it's different from Aldrip. The audio played a couple of times before it let me post on the network.

There's no mention of that place on the map, or the desert ruins we were in. Also it's desert backwards.

I'll try and remember anything else.

Not that I've been able to tell so far. Seems like most, if not all of us are seeing this stuff on the pendants, so I'm assuming it's something that's wrong with these things, rather than with us.

But they mentioned Aldrip being pretty religious and they brought up Those Who Were There. I think they were doing research or something.

i haven't heard anything personally, but i do wonder what makes the difference in who hears or sees what. i didn't speak to the other i saw talking about it, though.

Yeah, I saw something weird too. Didn't think much about it at the time, but guess if you're wondering...

There was this beaten up dude holding up a sword and said something like 'We can't get caught again and that he'll teach people to defend themselves. And not letting some hooded guys mess with them again.'

Do you think it's on purpose, or accidental?

Even if I'm not sure what to do with just the thing I saw by itself, it does feel like putting everything together might provide some clues about this place. I can't imagine that the forces that shoved us into this world in the first place would want us finding out much more.

[ .. but then again, Ange is just paranoid and cynical enough to assume that sort of thing by default, really. Who would ever assume someone might be trying to do something good?

But what's the point though? If they're just showing us glimpses and expecting us to figure it out ourselves seems so strange. Even if they are 'testing' us, how can they expect us to figure it out without any real clues.

I guess they were talking about the people here when they mentioned how religious the place is.

And by the people here I mean the locals. Not people like us, who showed up here from normal places. I don't know how much you've tried to speak with the locals, but they can seem kind of culty sometimes.

[ The reply to her message does give Ange a moment of pause. She's really not used to seeing people express this sort of thing - especially not strangers. Some sort of.. worry, or care about her wellbeing, even when it's among a group of people.

It's a little strange, and she isn't really sure how to deal with it. So Ange just opts to ignore that part for now rather than attempting to process it, focusing on the question instead. ]

I don't think so. I feel the same way I always do.

I haven't seen any of those weird marks appearing on me that the people out in the desert had either. [ The ones that seem to make people lose their mind. ]

What do you think he was talking about? [ Since that sounds way vague. Maybe Scott got a little bit more from seeing it. Some context clues, or something.

I know this is going to sound ridiculous, but this is exactly the kind of thing supernatural entities did where I come from.

They find it funny to just throw random clues at you and see if you can figure it out, even when there's way too few clues at first.

I think they just find it funny to watch people hurt their heads trying to figure it out or something. [ The worst!! You don't understand, Ken. It's awful. ]

And somehow, I'm not surprised as they just want to see regular people suffer for the sake of their own amusement. Which is a sad thing to think about since it seems like they have nothing else better to do with their lives.

[He honestly really hasn't thought much about all this until now, but it's a good enough distraction from his other thoughts. He'll take it. Maybe it will actually lead to something, like figuring out how to get out of this fucking place. That sounds great.]

Sword guy probably lost a fight, because he looked all beaten up and everything. Wish I knew more about those hooded guys he referenced though. Maybe they're the same assholes people were talking about a couple of months ago.

i was there when they appeared on people here. it started off as something no larger than a standard tattoo... from there, it kept growing until it took over.

[ That's actually a pretty good question. This is why she likes you, Ken. You've got a good head on your shoulders right there. It's why Ange is going to bother to give the full answer here, rather than avoiding it or just giving some short answer that actually doesn't explain anything. ]

I guess I should give some context to explain that, or you won't understand. Even though the context is going to sound completely ridiculous, so bear with me.

My family died twelve years ago. Everyone. Well, except my aunt, but she sucks. [ Thanks but no thanks, aunt Eva!! ] It happened in a mysterious incident. No one ever knew what caused their deaths, which is why people started making up ridiculous theories, like that maybe a witch killed them all.

[ That part might not sound so ridiculous yet, but-- ]

Then when I turned eighteen, I found out that a witch had actually challenged my older brother to a game where she killed our family over and over in various parallel dimensions and my brother had to figure out how those murders could have been committed by a human rather than a witch to win the game.
