[still not fully getting the hang of the video function of these devices, the feed wavers and goes out of focus for a second or two — until this little hut is revealed:]





[it's unclear (unless you know the username of this broadcast) who is behind the camera, until the video comes a bird's eye view of this decorative little shack.]

Well, that's right good, innit? It might be gettin' hot as Hades, but I reckon this is the best time for it!

[floating back down on ground level, rogue twists the camera to face herself now with her new accomplishment behind her, grinning fairly big.]

I've been meaning to do somethin' like this for ya'll. Now I ain't licensed or nothing, but part of my powers is all about knowing exactly how ya'll are feeling on the inside. But instead of touchin' and learning it the mutant way, I'd like it more if you tell me on your own.

[there's a brief pause from her, and her voice sombers when she speaks again:]

I know we've all been tossed in Hell, out, and back again, and it gets harder to tell our loved ones how we feel about things, and sometimes we think it'd be better to say nothing at all. Keep it all bottled up and have it all twisting and turning 'till you get a crick in your neck. But lettin' it fester can lead to trouble, and Lord knows, we don't need more of that around these parts.

— It's good to let it all out, but more in a healthy way. And that's what I'm here for. 'Cuz sometimes, it's easier to say things to someone who don't know a flippin' thing about ya.

[the mutant makes her way inside her therapy hut and plops a seat on one of the chairs, sitting more upright to look professional.]

I'm a lil' out yonder from the city, out in the fields. And there's no charge. Not gonna make ya'll pay when all I want is for everyone to feel better themselves and getting along.

And if that's not enough to rope ya in, I'm one hell of a cook, and I'm fixin' to start grilling some burgers and hot dogs in a little while.

A part of being an X-Men is helping folks. It don't always mean puttin bad boys behind bars or gettin people out of a burning building.

Helping others can be as simple as listening to someone's troubles and being there for them. Not all heroes wear capes.

Although, it seems so minor compared to some of the others here.

There are other ways if talkin' is too much. There are games we can play to help express how ya feelin', or just draw it out. But I ain't gonna make ya come over yonder if don't wanna. — It's all about making your own choice.

[and coming from a background where mutants have almost little to no rights in some places, that is the most important thing she wants everyone to feel.]

[ He's ignoring the rest of that because it's way too touchy-feely for him. He's just so thrown off by someone using his real name in some sort of weird expression that the reaction just sort of popped out. ]

Hades. Satan. He is in charge of Hell. But whether that man actually exists or not, well, I ain't about to go into that. Some believe in him, some don't, and folks sometimes into a fit and argue about it.

But it's just an expression for sayin' it's really hot outside.

[the last thing she wants to get into right now is talk about religion. because nothing really good comes out of talking about that.]

[why yes, she is definitely making food. fauna will see rogue by a grill with the smoking brewing nicely as she plops the meat into a nice little line.]

I... guess counseling is kinda like a confessional. But it's not really like talking about your sins, but more like tellin me what's getting your panties in a twist.

Or if nothing is troubling you, just talking about your day to someone is therapeutic and reassuring. We all like to have someone in our lives who will just listen. Even if what we're saying ain't that important.

Well, ain't you a sight for sore eyes! And that warms more heart that you think so. I may not had any schoolin for it, but if having a sit spell with someone who needs a friendly can make a difference, why, I'll do it faster than a hot knife through butter.

And I would find that flattering 'cuz that little fella is cute as a button.

I do get the feeling licensing matters very little in this place. It seems far more common to pick up new skills here and learn as we go.

I know durin' these things, there are activities that comes with it, and I was thinkin' maybe some nice southern fun can help ya'll feel as right as rain.

[hearing his voice brings a smile to her face, a flustered one, to be exact. and thank goodness, she replies back to him with audio too and not video. he would be able to see the faint blush over her cheeks and ears.]

Hm, well. Ya know anythin' about grilling hot dogs and burgers? I could use a hand on 'em. So they don't burn to a crisp.

[He's honestly kind of proud and happy that Rogue is going through with something like this. Trying to help the other Chosen-- non-mutants. This is her trying, despite all the shit that went down in her world. That will always be a point of contention, her supporting Magneto, but... if she's doing something like this, that's good, right?
