Hi everyone!

Jerry gave me some homework. Can you help me with it, please? ( •̯́ ^ •̯̀)

He wants me to ask if there's such a thing as going “too far” to protect someone you love. What extent would you go to protect others? Would you physically harm them if it meant saving them from harm?

Oh, you can respond with video or call or text or whatever, that's fine! If you want to talk to each other too, that'll probably help, also.

I think...I think I'd try to avoid harming them, if at all possible.

And see if there was another way to save them

Then I'd keep trying, I think. It would have to take a long time to convince me otherwise.

Unless...I guess it became that much of a danger.

What if somebody insisted on following you into a dangerous place? Would you let them? If stopping them meant they'd be safer?

I'd probably try to stop them, yeah. But, knowing my friends, it's really hard to stop them once they set their mind to something.

But if they had to follow me, I'd do everything I could to protect them. Or trust they could protect themselves.

How would you try to stop them? If you really, really wanted to?

I'd try to talk to them. And it would probably be a really long, and difficult conversation. To make them understand.

I guess I would just have to go without telling them.

[Go without telling them... that's something she would have done without a second thought, a long time ago. But Scott had always wanted them to do everything together. She'd made a promise to always be with him, hadn't she? So maybe she can't do that anymore.]

I guess that only works when you can plan ahead though, huh? And not when you're with that person in the moment.
