Is there a crime you would consider unforgivable? What would it be?

And if that isn't the case, what is your idea of repatriation?

I wouldn't forgive someone for a crime they committed against me.

[ Maybe it's a little self-centered and all, but it's true. ]

Are you asking for the definition of a crime?

[ Or maybe more like her definition of one. ]

If someone did something bad to me out of malice. The definition of 'something bad' is pretty broad there, at least to me.

Well, as long as it's ill intent. I don't really care if it was an accident.

[ Ange figures some people might. She has seen people be very, very petty! Both here and back home! ]

I think intent matters a whole lot when it comes to actions like these.

What kind of case exactly do you have in mind? Someone who did something out of malice, but regrets it now? Something like that?

I am mostly thinking of my own circumstances.

And . . . letting go of punishing myself.

That's hard.

But she also knows that she isn't the one meant to give that judgement, right? So-- ]

You said the people from your world aren't here. They're the ones who should be forgiving you. But they can't if you're worlds apart.

I already know their answer. But it is that answer that bothers me.

Why does it bother you? Do you still want to be punished regardless?

[ There's a slight pause, and though Ange is taking this relatively seriously, she's still just Ange enough to say-- ]

I'm just not sure I should be forgiven.

So what then?

[ It's a little bit direct, but it doesn't necessarily sound unkind. After all, if Ange didn't care about this topic, she just would have shut it down in the first place. She's like that. ]

Do you plan on just wandering around forever, wondering all that time whether you should be forgiven or not?

But that does not help anyone. It would be just as pointless.
