Ever wanted to have CR with a character and wasn't sure how to get them to cross paths? Wanted a dating app so you can hook up with hot people? Wanted to just find friends because you're a lonely bastard?

With the update of the tablets and the apps, we now have a dating / friendship app called OKCINDR! Players can use it as they please for the two months that it's up -- just imagine that they're profiles to swipe right on and everything. The idea is to encourage CR that may be difficult to get with characters who may or may not be interested in events / posts / logs / other network posts.

So, on March 2nd, characters randomly look back at their tablets to see the following:

This month, if players reset their profile, they will have a list of questions to answer:

- What is the maximum amount of sheep you have counted when trying to fall asleep?
- what is the real you?
- will you still love someone if they're no longer themselves?
- what is a wish
- what are you prepared to do to have your wish fulfilled? would you die for it? kill for it?
- what kind of world do you wish for?
- are all wishes equal?
- does everyone deserve to have their wish come true?
- do you think your wish is more important than the wishes of others?
- will your wish coming true make you truly happy?

Players, of course, are able to ignore this message. However, if a character wouldn't fill it out but a player would like to participate... the profile mysteriously resets itself. There may even be responses sent from Character A to Character B without Character A actually doing anything, if you'd like! This is a completely opt-in scenario! But for players who would like to participate fill out the post:

So it was an illusion rather than some sort of physical change?

[Altius didn't have a clue. He's just been kind of rolling with "it's probably magic" to explain most of of the strangeness he's seen.]

Right. It's all a hologram. I have this funky watch called an image inducer. It can make these hologram disguises to make you look different. Back home, I needed it to use it to attend high school and go around in public without getting unwanted attention.

Fascinating. I suppose it's not a well-known technology? I can't even imagine how something like that works.

Yeah it's a special technology that the professor made with his resources. Definitely not something you can buy anywhere! As far as I know, mine are the only ones he's made. And I'm definitely not the guy to ask about the science of it all. All that stuff just goes over my head!

[Damn, if he could get a personal inventor making gadgets that advanced for him? Imagine the potential.]

I'm glad to hear you don't feel the need to use it, though. It must be freeing, feeling like you can show your true self without fear of judgment.

I guess so. I mean, I definitely feel honored that the Professor went through the trouble to make something like this to give to me! If he wanted, I bet he could make a fortune in the video game biz! lol!

Thanks, Altius. It's a little scary, but at least the people here seem more receptive to who I really am than the people back home. So really, it does feel freeing. I can just walk around as myself and by myself. Just me! No more disguises!

The idea of bringing attention to your real self does tend to be anxiety-inducing, doesn't it? Most of what's worthwhile is. [the irony of him saying this.] How long have you been using that hologram?

Right, this place is one game I wouldn't choose to play!

It's been a few years now. Ever since I first came to the United States and the Xavier Institute. Back then, we were still trying to keep mutants under wraps.

[Zekarion wonders what it would be like, if magic was something that could be perceived by those without it in his world. ... bah, it's a waste of time trying to get into what ifs, isn't it? Still...]

And now you aren't, I'm assuming. Do you know why that changed?

Oh yeah. I know all too well. The Professor was trying hard to keep us out of the public eye, because he didn't think the world was ready to know about the mutants. But one rogue scientist made a robot called a Sentinel to battle mutants, and it ended up attacking a whole bunch of us in public. There were countless witnesses,a and it was broadcast on live tv! No telepath could make everyone un-see us all using our powers.

I'm sorry to hear that. It must have been a struggle to have to change things so suddenly, even aside from the fighting. What happened to this scientist?

Oh yeah. Going back to school after that was an experience like no other! But I guess something like that was bound to happen sooner or later. Thanks, though.

As for the scientist guy? He got arrested eventually. I hope they locked him up and threw away the key! Good riddance to bad rubbish, yeah?

Without a doubt. I hope that keeps him from doing any more harm.

[But Altius doesn't think it will. Someone brilliant and driven enough to create a machine like that could get out one way or another—either through his own methods or because of someone else who wanted to use that skill. Hm.]

That is the thing about secrets, though, isn't it? They always come out one way or another, even if they're kept for a good reason.

[As far as Kurt knows, that's the case in his world - though he knows the Sentinels have menaced other worlds, so he doesn't know how well he can speak for other versions of Trask.]

Yeah, that seems to be the case. At least back home, I was able to keep being blue and fuzzy a secret. I only went open about being a mutant without revealing what I really look like. But I'm sure it's only a matter of time before that gets revealed too. Plus in this place, it feels like secrets can get blown open at any time.

At least right now, revealing myself on my own terms, it feels pretty good. It can be liberating!
