[Scott's been feeling all kinds of ways since returning to Aldrip. A little off his feet? Not upset exactly, not when he remembers everyone important to him, but it's still a lot. Kind of weird that he's actually older here than back home, and that's not mentioning suddenly getting almost two years of memories shoved inside his head that he completely forgot about until now. But he's trying. A part of him wants to just lie on the bed with Kotone and just take more time to himself, but he figures that he should say something to his friends.

Maybe focusing on them will help. Better than thinking about Alex or how Apocalypse sort of ruined everything back home.

He breathes in, fiddling with his tablet. Something in him wants to change his username from 'shades' to 'cyclops,' but maybe not right now.]

hey, i'm back now. sorry if i worried anyone. a lot happened, like, back home. yeah i went home and came back. i'm okay though.

[None of that sounded super awkward, right.]

if you wanna meet up, i'll be at the diner. you're paying though.

[ooc: Scott's back from his canon update and just Dealing with Stuff. Totally open to threading Scott meeting others in person! Also, he'll be back in regular clothes for the time being, but he will be wearing his visor for now.]

[The Vongola does sort of have their own uniform. And they do look pretty good in their suits.]

You got a preference for where you want to eat?

[And he gives Tsuna the diner where he's currently eating at. If the other teen decides to stop by, Scott will be sitting relatively comfortably at a booth, looking not all that much different besides the visor on him. Maybe there's an added air of something a little more serious about the teen, but he'll instantly brighten up and wave at Tsuna once he spots him.]

[Tsuna waves back and come over with a smile. He'll slide into the booth across from Scott.]

So you got a new visor to?

[Tsuna looks good, happy and healthy. It's one thing he can find relief in.]

Yeah, all part of the uniform I was mentioning earlier.

[He answers with a small smile, genuinely happy to see his friend even if they're talking about his new visor. It's not like Scott isn't happy to have something that can finally help him control the output of his powers, but it all comes with a more difficult reason. The X-Men formed and he needs to stand up and fight, just like the other mutants here.

But Scott doesn't let those worries cross his face, instead lifting a hand to the visor covering him and smirking.]

Everyone's been telling me about this since I got here and now I finally have it. It'll be easier for me to control my powers now.

Well, it's a good look. Makes you look futuristic.

[He laughs a little.]

Were the sunglasses getting to be...not enough?

[Should he have been more worried than he was?]

I'll take it, long as it's the cool type of futuristic.

[Now it's definitely uncool-- granted, it's taken Scott a few days to get used to his visor as well. Mostly something he prefers to wear only in training or missions, but he hasn't found his sunglasses yet. It's probably somewhere around his house.]

The sunglasses worked, but this helps me control the output and strength of my powers. And I no longer have to take off my glasses to use my optic blasts. [He raises a hand to a button on his visor, but of course he doesn't press it.] I just press this and shroom.

[Yeah, trying to mimic the noise his powers makes.]

Of course. Is there any other kind?

[Well, dystopias he guesses, but then he usually doesn't read those. Got a little too close to the potential of a real one.]

That's pretty cool! So, you could make the blast like, bigger or something? Or sharpen it to a laser?

[Kind of like his flames.]

I guess there's someone who builds equipment for you now?

Yeah, pretty much. I can full blast or lower it to something that's far less destructive. Easier to train around with; I'll show it off to you sometime.

[And... if he's in a fight or has to stop one of his friends due to some strange incident or whatever, he can just use his powers in a non-lethal way now. That's the most important thing to Scott, despite the somewhat cocky behavior he's giving out. He doesn't have to worry about fully blasting his friends and can just take them out with concentrated attacks. He doesn't have to worry as much about hurting someone, he's more in control of his powers.

Not complete control, because he's reliant on a visor to do all this, but. Better than before.

And Scott knows that it will happen at some point in this world. He's not naive to that, not after the Gnosia infection and the corruption and the glitches--]

And yeah, same guy that made my sunglasses. [He lowers his hand from his visor, still lightly smirking and not letting his more serious thoughts show.] He's a genius, I'll give him that.

I'd like to see it!

[It's kind of like the difference between the hard and soft flames for him.]

So, it's like he upgraded the model, huh? I hope it keeps working well for you!

It's important to have people like that.

After talking all this up, I guess I have to.

[Doing this big favor for Tsuna! ...Even though he's already decided a while ago that he wanted to show him his powers. Not only have they fought together in the past, but he trusts him, so this really is no brainer for Scott.]

Yeah, he's made our uniforms and the Blackbird too. Too bad I don't have the plane here, because it's awesome. Supersonic speed and everything.

[Scott doesn't know how to pilot it yet, but he's going to learn someday. It's necessary right? As the future leader of the X-Men. He will 100% pull that card if he has to.]

Wow! A plane to?

[Tsuna is pretty impressed.]

I don't know if Shoichi-san could even do that. Well, yet anyway. I'm sure if I asked, something would happen.

[Granted, he'd always been a little scared at the same time. He knows a few competitive inventors.]

Yeah, he's a real brainy guy.

[At least Professor McCoy isn't here to watch Scott pile all this praise at him. That would be embarrassing... even though he is really thankful for the older mutant for making his sunglasses and visor now. Two very specific things that have helped him with his powers. First being able to see, and now being able to control them.]

Bring the idea up to him at least. Maybe it'll get him going. [Is this a dangerous idea to put in someone's head? Eh, it'll be fine.] But come on, let's start ordering some food.

I'll think about it. No one in my Family really does anything by halves.

[Anything worth doing is worth doing full force, seems to be the Vongola way.]
