I had a strange dream last night I was standing on trial for trying to kidnap someone. My reasons for doing so was because I deemed that someone dangerous to a person close to me. Am I really in the wrong for attempting to do such an action? I need some consultation here.

Or so they say. I happen to think most people don't jump directly to kidnapping. We can hardly pass judgment without hearing more about exactly how they were dangerous, to who, and what course of action you took prior to kidnapping. And then what you planned to do afterwards, of course. Many such cases end in death, after all.

Why was it that you were forbidden from simply killing him instead? Was there a ransom involved?

I have to admit it's odd that you had a nightmare about it. It doesn't sound as though you feel very guilty about it whatsoever.
