OKCINDR POST #5

Ever wanted to have CR with a character and wasn't sure how to get them to cross paths? Wanted a dating app so you can hook up with hot people? Wanted to just find friends because you're a lonely bastard?

With the update of the tablets and the apps, we now have a dating / friendship app called OKCINDR! Players can use it as they please for the two months that it's up -- just imagine that they're profiles to swipe right on and everything. The idea is to encourage CR that may be difficult to get with characters who may or may not be interested in events / posts / logs / other network posts.

So, on January 2nd, characters randomly look back at their tablets to see the following:

OKCINDR PROFILE RESET #4
PLEASE RESET PROFILE

This month, if players reset their profile, they will have a list of questions to answer:

- What is the maximum amount of sheep you have counted when trying to fall asleep?
- Is it harder to forgive yourself, or to forgive others?
- How strongly do you feel that the past defines a person?
- What is your dream?
- Why would an android's dream contain electric sheep? Are they particularly drawn to livestock animals?
- If you could return to one specific moment in your life, would you?
- How do you wake up from a dream?
- Please
- Wake up
- You must wake up

Players, of course, are able to ignore this message. However, if a character wouldn't fill it out but a player would like to participate... the profile mysteriously resets itself. There may even be responses sent from Character A to Character B without Character A actually doing anything, if you'd like! This is a completely opt-in scenario! But for players who would like to participate fill out the post:

network profile
Character_Name
@username
ABOUT_ME

If you'd like to for shits and giggles, here's some notifications that may be used:

Name (@username) followed you

Name (@username) unfollowed you

Name (@username) blocked you

Have fun! Code credit.

Considering we had an ordeal with snowmen, sheep aren't off the plate.

I don't have much of a preference. I like books on the history of politics and diplomacies from different regions, as well as the histories of people themselves. But if I want to properly relax and not think about much, a good mystery book scratches the itch.

Sheep are much hardier than snow, I should think we might want to worry.

Given the locals' odd disinterest in explaining their evil snowmen curses, I shudder to think of how thorough their historians are... I will keep an eye open for mysteries for you, though. I've hardly left the library since the other week.

[It's cold out and he doesn't like to make the walk, this is the actual, genuine reason.]

All I've gotten about snowmen is that it was a legend that came alive around these holidays. But it's all too strange to me. I'm not familiar with magic to such a degree but this seems more intentional than an urban legend.

Well, you should leave the library every now and then. Research doesn't come only from the books.

You think they were set upon us deliberately? By who, our esteemed locals?

I know, I know, but it's so miserable and grey out there. I cannot stand weather.

It's too big of a coincidence that all of a sudden a legend comes alive when it was dormant for years. Perhaps not actual locals, but people responsible for getting us here could be hiding behind these people.

How about I treat you to tea and pastries? One of my acquaintances has been here a while and has her own shop.

An interesting suggestion. Do you think the locals know who these people are? Or are they mythologized figures? I was critically unable to obtain much information from the few I spoke to about the wintery mysteries.

Tea and pastries would be fantastic.

I am not sure. I do not know the history of this place, nor the people. I need to look around and see what kind of clues I can gather. I doubt we will ever get any direct information

[Unless there's a bit of... force used.]

Excellent. I hope you're not allergic to cats.

I will attempt to ask around, although after the last effort I'm sure it's going to be an uphill struggle. We must share notes!

Why are there cats? I'm not allergic, but the question stands.

Either my acquaintance is fond of them or there were strays and she took them in.

In either way, there are coffee shops known as cat cafes, where you can visit, have coffee and play with cats, or read in their company. They can be quite relaxing company, if you are fond of them.

Oh, unique. I've never been around so many cats at once, or indeed, so many animals of any kind at once! I suspect I will be immensely relaxed.

[Or super wired by cute cat overload, either one.]

Cats make a nice company. I look forward to meeting you there.
