Ever wanted to have CR with a character and wasn't sure how to get them to cross paths? Wanted a dating app so you can hook up with hot people? Wanted to just find friends because you're a lonely bastard?

With the update of the tablets and the apps, we now have a dating / friendship app called OKCINDR! Players can use it as they please for the two months that it's up -- just imagine that they're profiles to swipe right on and everything. The idea is to encourage CR that may be difficult to get with characters who may or may not be interested in events / posts / logs / other network posts.

So, on January 2nd, characters randomly look back at their tablets to see the following:

This month, if players reset their profile, they will have a list of questions to answer:

- What is the maximum amount of sheep you have counted when trying to fall asleep?
- Is it harder to forgive yourself, or to forgive others?
- How strongly do you feel that the past defines a person?
- What is your dream?
- Why would an android's dream contain electric sheep? Are they particularly drawn to livestock animals?
- If you could return to one specific moment in your life, would you?
- How do you wake up from a dream?
- Please
- Wake up
- You must wake up

Players, of course, are able to ignore this message. However, if a character wouldn't fill it out but a player would like to participate... the profile mysteriously resets itself. There may even be responses sent from Character A to Character B without Character A actually doing anything, if you'd like! This is a completely opt-in scenario! But for players who would like to participate fill out the post:

Maximum sheep?? Probably around 300 when I'm not tired. Close to 50 when I am! Oh, wait, we're not supposed to be answering these truthfully are we? Anyway, I'm Shigeru Miyata I was a doctor back home...so if anyone ever needs anything please feel free to contact me!! And I'm actually looking for work so if there are any clinics or hospitals you'd recommend...I'd really appreciate it. Also, why is it asking us to wake up if we're already awake?! Maybe not powers...but you could definitely learn first-aid and stuff like that? That's sort of like gaining powers, right? [ Yes. Totally right. ]

That sounds like a lot to learn... I do love learning, though! My friend told me learning is a great way to get better at magic too.

They're not wrong. Even I had to learn and train to use my powers from when I was very young. But, no matter what your age anyone can learn and try new things, right? If you want I can even show you some basic first-aid and stuff.

It's suspicious, honestly. But I wouldn't be surprised if there's something to it asking us this. Does this happen often? Have you been here long enough to know? Like the calm before the storm, an omen, you know??

I have been here for almost two years at this point.

[ .. maybe it's not exactly the most comforting information to learn, especially when you're so new here, but Ange is - if nothing else - direct as hell.

Especially when she figures new people will sooner or later always figure out for just how long people have been trapped in this place. ]

And every single time this dumb profile thing appears on the network, it's always asking us questions that start off normal and then end up kind of unsettling. It's some sort of AI behind this place that's trying to learn from us.

Or maybe warn us about something, given these specific words.

[ Two years, oh my god?? ] I'm so sorry. I can't imagine what that must be like... [ Being trapped in an entirely different world for so long and given the state of the place going through who knows what...Shigeru can't even imagine. ]

So it might be a warning then. 🤔 It's either warning us about evil androids, sheep, or something with our dreams. Or all three? [ He's smart I promise!! ]

I think it's either implying that we are the ones sleeping, or the AI that's asking the questions is the one sleeping. And that it's important to wake up instead.

Of course it's very likely to be a metaphor. As far as I know, computer programs can't sleep. [ Not.. that Ange knows all that much about technology - this is what happens when you're from the 90s and grew up very isolated! - but she's at least fairly sure of this one? ] And it's not like we are all just stuck together in one big dream. Maybe we need to 'wake up' in the sense of not letting the wool be pulled over our eyes by someone or something.

You might be right? Computers can be put into sleep mode, meaning they're in a kind of stasis of sorts until you wake them up? Maybe it's like that for this AI too... [ Hm. Very interesting. ]

It really does sound like something out of a sci-fi novel or fantasy novel. But I guess since people have been here for so long and we're here it has to be real...

Even then, it's still hard to understand. However, I want to believe that things will get better.
