OKCINDR POST #5
Ever wanted to have CR with a character and wasn't sure how to get them to cross paths? Wanted a dating app so you can hook up with hot people? Wanted to just find friends because you're a lonely bastard?
With the update of the tablets and the apps, we now have a dating / friendship app called OKCINDR! Players can use it as they please for the two months that it's up -- just imagine that they're profiles to swipe right on and everything. The idea is to encourage CR that may be difficult to get with characters who may or may not be interested in events / posts / logs / other network posts.
So, on January 2nd, characters randomly look back at their tablets to see the following:
This month, if players reset their profile, they will have a list of questions to answer:
Players, of course, are able to ignore this message. However, if a character wouldn't fill it out but a player would like to participate... the profile mysteriously resets itself. There may even be responses sent from Character A to Character B without Character A actually doing anything, if you'd like! This is a completely opt-in scenario! But for players who would like to participate fill out the post:
If you'd like to for shits and giggles, here's some notifications that may be used:

Name (@username) followed you

Name (@username) unfollowed you

Name (@username) blocked you
Have fun! Code credit.

OKCINDR PROFILE RESET #4
PLEASE RESET PROFILE
This month, if players reset their profile, they will have a list of questions to answer:
- What is the maximum amount of sheep you have counted when trying to fall asleep?
- Is it harder to forgive yourself, or to forgive others?
- How strongly do you feel that the past defines a person?
- What is your dream?
- Why would an android's dream contain electric sheep? Are they particularly drawn to livestock animals?
- If you could return to one specific moment in your life, would you?
- How do you wake up from a dream?
- Please
- Wake up
- You must wake up

Up to the same old tricks again, are we?
One's past informs who they become, it is never too late to change for anyone who truly intends to.
no subject
Anyway yeah. Unless you got amnesia, the past means something one way or another. That's kinda a dumb question.
Better question: what tricks?
no subject
The inquiries that this app asks are usually about this interesting, it will also fill out your profile for you if you're not careful.
no subject
Probably a dumb question, right? cause what's any of this for?
no subject
no subject
You don't even get time for a lot of this stuff, so it's a huge overreaction!
[ Which is just another way of wording "this is here as an unknown cover for something else," isn't it? ]
This is dumb.
no subject
no subject
Well, kinda.
I mean what they're accusing me of is just past stuff that I can admit to and just doesn't matter any more.
So maybe I'm just a bad candidate for this shit.
no subject
no subject
Which just sounds like tattle telling bullshit.
no subject
I am far more interested in whatever they are a cover for. Forcing us to act out alternate realities hardly counts towards atonement.
no subject
They watch it? They record it or anything?
no subject
As this is a simulation it is safest to assume that everything is recorded here, unless proven otherwise. The entire world is some form of code.
[He tried to explain this to Hiei but at least Kuwabara has a concept of technology, so it should go over better.]
The glitches are more complicated to explain. They lasted for months and influenced everything from our physical bodies and memories to the environment itself. For instance, I spent a great deal of time in my original fox form. There was also a time that Hiei and I had an entirely different life in demon world without meeting any of you or recognizing this place at all.
[He doesn't mention the duplicates situation, Kuwabara might need to get that information from someone else.]
no subject
Anyway when you say all that it's like
If it's a simulation, the point's the practice something right? Or gather up data? So what's more important, how we affect the program or how it affects us?
I don't know if I'm wording that right. Like... Is it a void we're supposed to shape or is the program meant to change us?
But I don't figure there's a good way to know or somebody would know by now.
Anyway we can't be random selections. Out of everybody in however many universes or whatever, the five of us get plucked up?
And lots of people treat extra-human power like it's no big deal so they can't be random choices either.
no subject
Truthfully, I believe that it does both. Our experiences shape us here the same as they would back home, whether we notice it or not. Perhaps the timeline is a bit more accelerated due to the nature of things here. However, we also change this world. From my understanding the city originated as a small primitive town that has developed over time based on the input of the residents. Centuries of development in the span of several years.
A majority of the Chosen have some abilities to speak of, or at least come from a world where those abilities exist. Although, in that case, it does make one wonder why they'd be selected rather than someone else from that world with an ability. Imagine Keiko being the one to arrive here rather than any of us.
no subject
So they want power maybe? Or knowledge of power? As it exists across however many places.
Of course there's probably a whole long list of other objectives that could fit.
no subject
Studying our abilities or trying to use them to some advantage sounds almost too logical for the way this place operates.
no subject
Or maybe their plucking people up aim is just bad.
It's not like they're setting us on anybody else or anything. Unless they are and I just missed that part.
no subject
[Did he forget to mention that?]
no subject
Research stuff works like that though right? Like people can cycle out. It's a job.
