(some of us love our vlogging, our youtubeing, tik-toking-- and since here it's a known fact that peter parker happens to be spider-man, well, that means he gets to turn his tablet on while he swings through the winter wonderland that aldrip has come. whoever is watching gets a very nice view of aldrip from the tallest buildings, the snow twinkling and sparkling beneath him as he goes from building to building until he stops at the tallest one.

the camera pans and switches to his face, hair a mess of curls from all the wind that it faced and he smiles. it feels good to smile.)

So, I heard this thing, right -- this guy from the pizza shop told me, I don't know if he's lying or what, but apparently? Apparently, there's this superstition that we aren't supposed to leave our home during the solstice or something? But I'm curious - did someone go out last year? Did something happen? And if we go out... Well, actually, who's going out, first of all?

(the camera switches again, so he can film the skating ring from above-- someone just fell on their ass, and he sucks teeth because that must have hurt.)

Ooooh, ouch. Well, wear a helmet, don't get sick, invite me if you have eggnog! Friendly neighborhood Spider-man, out!

( clint has no work-life balance, but he's also — to a point — unaware that he has no work-life balance. his entire personal life, give or take a handful of individuals — namely, his brother and his apartment building — is the avengers. he married an avenger. he almost entirely dates only other superheroes, or superhero-adjacent individuals.

being a superhero is pretty much his entire identity — he didn't even have his own place until recently, instead choosing to live in the avengers mansion-slash-compound, depending on which team he was with. )

not when he was that young. he's only been an avenger a couple times. he mostly works alone.

I dropped out of high school. there's not a lot of thinking about physics I do, kiddo.

(on the other end of the spectrum, for the past year, all peter wanted was a little work-life balance. he's still a kid, after all, and there were so many things he wanted to experience as peter parker that he simply couldn't. friends, a social life, a love life, and it all was impacted by work.

at least now, peter parker is on the back burner, and his life is solely work - there's not much to do when his life is forgotten, better keep at the one thing he has going on. he learned something, which is that this is what he has for himself. he will honor it.)
