Good morning, everyone. My name is Altius, and I'm happy to announce the Aldrip branch of SolMed has been established. We're a medical technology company that covers a broad range of products and services, but we'd like to work towards whatever might be needed here most. I know a number of Chosen have specialty prostheses or other assistive devices that may need maintenance, for instance, and we're always glad to work with doctors and other providers to provide new tools or equipment for their practice.

I've only been here a short time, of course, so please let me know what sort of things would best help you.

Although I'm satisfied enough with the current staff to make this announcement, we'd also welcome anyone interested in joining the company, whether it be in delivery, manufacturing, record keeping, or research and development. I'm sure we could find a spot for you, whatever your skills.

Similarly, given the smaller scale here, I'm free to offer our engineering and chemistry labs for rent, with some caveats. They're state of the art in terms of my world, where devices like these tablets are common, and while they lack any magical aspect, I'd be interested to see how we could improve them.

[phew! He takes a breath. CEO announcement over, now he can turn to less official comments:]

... when I'd heard of buildings from our worlds appearing, I admit I didn't expect my company, of all things. I can promise I've ensured everything is working as smoothly as possible.

[His tone turns serious again, though more on the somber end:]

Ah, but there's something else I wanted to discuss. Though I wasn't sure if the locals would notice what happened last month, it seems their awareness is worse than I expected, given the state of the city. Would anyone be interested in helping to organize cleanup and rebuilding?

I have a workspace, if that is what you're asking. [ is it an ideal one? by no means! but it is a workspace, in any case, and he would rather die than admit that he's intrigued by the facilities that altius might offer. ]

I'm glad to hear you've found one, [he says, putting in the effort to sound genuine without overdoing it.] You must be dedicated to your work. I may not be any sort of expert, myself, but I admit I'm intrigued by seeing how developments from separate worlds could work together.

Perhaps, [ he says, which isn't really a response to anything in particular; and yet, he can't quite say he's not interested in seeing that, too, because he is, almost desperately so; the curiosity is a flame impossible to extinguish, and it leads to him saying, then, ]

I would not mind seeing your facilities... just to compare them to what I am used to. The differences between worlds are, after all, interesting to see.

[Ah, the bait has not gone completely ignored... All the better. He always prefers to speak to potentially useful sorts in person; it gives him a much better chance to understand them.]

[ if you'd grant me the privilege. that gets a huff of dry laughter out of him — it's the kind of overly flattering thing people in piltover trip over all the time, the kind of thing that's most often directed at jayce, but viktor's heard it so many times before he believes in it as much as he does in pigs flying... or perhaps just sees it for what it is.

perhaps altius would do well in piltover. he and ms merdarda might get along. ]

We'll see. [ and then, ] Yes. I see this network saves me the trouble from having to introduce myself.

[Overly flattering, perhaps, but in this case it's nonetheless true; Altius needs the input of people like Viktor if his business is to do anything actually worthwhile in this miserable prison masquerading as a city. Whether he can convince the man of that, much less without implying significant weakness on his part, is to be seen.

Back home, though? It absolutely would have been empty praise. His tone doesn't change, either way: light interest, positive.]

It can be useful for that, so we might as well take advantage of it, hm?

[It can cut down on the chitchat, which he has a feeling this man isn't fond of. In light of that, he'll go ahead and send the address to his building.]
