Ever wanted to have CR with a character and wasn't sure how to get them to cross paths? Wanted a dating app so you can hook up with hot people? Wanted to just find friends because you're a lonely bastard?

With the update of the tablets and the apps, we now have a dating / friendship app called OKCINDR! Players can use it as they please for the two months that it's up -- just imagine that they're profiles to swipe right on and everything. The idea is to encourage CR that may be difficult to get with characters who may or may not be interested in events / posts / logs / other network posts.

So, on November 3rd, characters randomly look back at their tablets to see the following:

This month, if players reset their profile, they will have a list of questions to answer:

What is forgiveness?
Can a criminal ever really be forgiven?
should you be forgiven?
Is a crime ever justified?
How do you justify your crime?
Can you forgive someone who's wronged you?

Players, of course, are able to ignore this message. However, if a character wouldn't fill it out but a player would like to participate... the profile mysteriously resets itself. There may even be responses sent from Character A to Character B without Character A actually doing anything, if you'd like! This is a completely opt-in scenario! But for players who would like to participate fill out the post:

Yes, well, there certainly seemed to be no reason to use my human name here, or ever bring it up. Nor do I tend to take on my demon form quite so frequently as the glitches might have one believe. I'm fairly confident the only one being used in Alrdip is Kurama.

Which is a courtesy I am more than happy to extend to others, Nurarihyon it is.

Much appreciated. The most common way others call me back home is "Principal", but that's only do to my role as being one of a big school. It's easy to become known that way on an island.

How often did you end up showing your proverbial tails thanks to those glitches so far?

A rather unusual profession, at least on my own world, but I could see how one might become accustomed to the title in that case. I don't suppose you're inclined to share how you came about it?

As for the glitches, more than I'd care to admit, I'm afraid. I'm not sure what may have caused those specific fractures to the code of this world, but it was certainly a reminder to never take having hands for granted.

Oh? Does that mean that proper education is still a rarity where you come from? I don't mind, but it's also not very interesting. I simply started to teach some youngsters.

In my case it only happened once, and mercifully nothing too bad [besides the bit of letting his true name slip to some of the worst people possible] but it did serve as a rather harsh wake-up call that I need to improve on my animal hunting skills. Or at least warding spells against foxes.

The demon realm of my own world is far too vast to claim true understanding of all of it. However, from my understanding, schools and the role of principal are more closely associated with humans.

I suppose having multiple forms easily lends itself to multiple opportunities. This place does seem intent on making us question our own convictions and identities, perhaps a lesson on self-acceptance was long overdue.

We all come from different worlds, don't we? It seems just as likely a coincidence than anything else. After all, Nurarihyon of my world certainly holds no relation to the the title principal you mentioned. At least, not to my understanding.

Perhaps. I certainly don't claim to be an expert, but every world has their myths.

It sounds as though he was young and inexperienced, unlike the version you're familiar with. One of those kids you brought up previously? You did say there was a pattern of trying to steal your pants, if I recall. Not to mention the propery damage. I must say, my experiences were far more positive, people here seem happy to share if you're inoffensive about it.

I don't suppose any of those foxes you've found yourself quarreling with appeared otherwise as a human girl?

Myths are one thing, but a youkai's essence is quite another, or so I learned. Take a Shuten Doji's connection to alcohol, for instance.

I only mean to say that what might be common knowledge in one's world is not necessarily reflected in others. I am merely another human to most of the Chosen, they are not concerned with whatever association my name conjures back home. It means nothing to them if I never existed there, does it? None of it truly matters here when all of our realms are unique, even those with an uncanny amount of overlap.

Ah. I knew that it was one or the other of the 'realms of plants and animals' duality.

I'd pegged her as some sort of half-blood or other 'mixed'-class thing, although I don't know any particularities, of course. She kept cussing me out and even tried to get violent with me without reason during our first meeting, so I never cared to have another.

As far as it implies "a fox with one or several tails and mystical powers", yes. If it's the same language, words should also have the same meaning. If it doesn't, that'd show the ineptitude of our local 'general translator' more than anything else.

[and doesn't Jerry or the System or whatever is responsible for bringing them here like having them all speak the 'same' language? It's almost as if it means to learn by observing them communicate with each other.

It really is a good thing that their conversation is in text. The cruel lilt in Douman's voice would be hard not to pick up on otherwise.]

Do the other humans in her universe see it that way as well?

I'm afraid a universal translator can not account for intent. You see, regardless of the literal translation, your understanding of a fox seems more akin to a nuisance animal spirit. In my world, the meaning of youko is more commonly equated to the title King of Thieves. The point, or intent, is simply that none of these things matter in a world where the resident's expectations do not align. What we are where we come from, what creatures and spirits exist there, those associations have little meaning in this realm.

[Kurama is no stranger to cruelty, affected or otherwise. He wouldn't consider it likely that Fauna is reading this exchange between them, and there's little reason for him to be precious about the other's opinion, which he's already stated to be unfavorable.]

As such, I can not speak for the experiences of others. That includes her universe and their perception of her, as I am not from there. Regardless, prejudices over her appearance would not change reality.

Of course a youko would be nothing more than a nuisance to me. Even a ninetailed fox is nothing more than a bothersome animal spirit once you leave out all the frills and fanfares about it. I see what you are trying to say, but does your example also mean that anybody and *anything* can be a (the?) youko in your world? Even if they are, say, a tengu? Or a human? As long as their skills warrant the title "king of thieves"?

[In a nutshell Douman is both a proud bastard who refuses to be in awe of anything as long as it hasn't proven its mettle to his face, and he also has a well-enduring low-key vendetta against animal youkai in general. Not because he looks down on them, but exactly because he knows what they can do if they'd just put their brains to it for once.

But nope, even here it's just stealing pants and badly playing super sentai instead.]

Then consider me sufficiently warned. Honestly, I don't give a fuck about what she is either way, as long as she stays out of my way. Just like it equally won't influence the consequences if she doesn't.
