OKCINDR POST #4

Ever wanted to have CR with a character and wasn't sure how to get them to cross paths? Wanted a dating app so you can hook up with hot people? Wanted to just find friends because you're a lonely bastard?

With the update of the tablets and the apps, we now have a dating / friendship app called OKCINDR! Players can use it as they please for the two months that it's up -- just imagine that they're profiles to swipe right on and everything. The idea is to encourage CR that may be difficult to get with characters who may or may not be interested in events / posts / logs / other network posts.

So, on November 3rd, characters randomly look back at their tablets to see the following:

OKCINDR PROFILE RESET #4
PLEASE RESET PROFILE

This month, if players reset their profile, they will have a list of questions to answer:

What is forgiveness?
Can a criminal ever really be forgiven?
should you be forgiven?
Is a crime ever justified?
How do you justify your crime?
Can you forgive someone who's wronged you?

Players, of course, are able to ignore this message. However, if a character wouldn't fill it out but a player would like to participate... the profile mysteriously resets itself. There may even be responses sent from Character A to Character B without Character A actually doing anything, if you'd like! This is a completely opt-in scenario! But for players who would like to participate fill out the post:

network profile
Character_Name
@username
ABOUT_ME

If you'd like to for shits and giggles, here's some notifications that may be used:

Name (@username) followed you

Name (@username) unfollowed you

Name (@username) blocked you

Have fun! Code credit.

[ .. on the one hand, Ange isn't too surprised. Of course he'd take it way too seriously.

On the other hand.. ]

Are you really going to let this thing make you think about philosophy?

M-maybe someone would find it interesting? I mean, there really is no harm in answering questions like those and they could start some kind of conversation.

I try to grab any opportunity, I guess. I'm not really that good at starting otherwise.

There is harm in answering them though.

Not definite harm, maybe, but the possibility of harm exists. After all, why do you think it's asking us these questions in particular when this entire place seems to be themed around crime and punishment? It could use those answers against you at some point.

[ You have to be more careful, Ruca!! Don't let them take advantage of you!! ]

I was wondering... Since this place wants to "judge" us and assigns crimes to us, wouldn't that mean it already knows our past, how we act and what we think? If we're in a simulation, then how real actually are we?

Maybe those questions are trying to change how we think... Or maybe they're a hint of what is to come?

[Instead of being cautious, he's getting more philosophical and serious about this all.]

[ Granted, he does actually have a point with the first part of what he says. Even Ange has to acknowledge that to herself, despite the fact that she feels like the new AI could still potentially be influenced by people's answers..

But it's the last part she can't help but reply to. ]

What kind of hint would that even be? Are they trying to say that during the next strange happening in this place we are all going to be forced to deal with this place's idea of philosophic nonsense?

Talk about torture, honestly.

It's all just an idea I got. It really is difficult to say for now.

When the questions were about feeling alive and if we fear death, then we had to face the infection.

When the questions were corrupted, the AI was facing problems. But I think we can scratch this one, since it's obvious the events were linked.

Now it's asking about our stance on crimes.

Perhaps after some time we will know for sure if there's a pattern or not. Maybe I'm just thinking too much about it and it's all just random questions.

[He didn't look anything up, he really actually remembers all past questions asked.]

It might be random. The infection has always been a part of this place. Even way before this place started getting all those strange glitches, way back when this big city looked like some small medieval town, we found people who got infected in the very same way.

The main problem is that the previous AI seemed to absorb things we told it into its consciousness. So we shouldn't tell this new one anything weird, just in case the same thing is happening all over again.
