OKCINDR POST #4
Ever wanted to have CR with a character and wasn't sure how to get them to cross paths? Wanted a dating app so you can hook up with hot people? Wanted to just find friends because you're a lonely bastard?
With the update of the tablets and the apps, we now have a dating / friendship app called OKCINDR! Players can use it as they please for the two months that it's up -- just imagine that they're profiles to swipe right on and everything. The idea is to encourage CR that may be difficult to get with characters who may or may not be interested in events / posts / logs / other network posts.
So, on November 3rd, characters randomly look back at their tablets to see the following:
This month, if players reset their profile, they will have a list of questions to answer:
Players, of course, are able to ignore this message. However, if a character wouldn't fill it out but a player would like to participate... the profile mysteriously resets itself. There may even be responses sent from Character A to Character B without Character A actually doing anything, if you'd like! This is a completely opt-in scenario! But for players who would like to participate fill out the post:
If you'd like to for shits and giggles, here's some notifications that may be used:

OKCINDR PROFILE RESET #4
PLEASE RESET PROFILE
This month, if players reset their profile, they will have a list of questions to answer:
What is forgiveness?
Can a criminal ever really be forgiven?
should you be forgiven?
Is a crime ever justified?
How do you justify your crime?
Can you forgive someone who's wronged you?
Players, of course, are able to ignore this message. However, if a character wouldn't fill it out but a player would like to participate... the profile mysteriously resets itself. Possessing the Jurisdiction of Pride is a tricky power that is inextricably linked to his ability to believe in himself. It's one of the ways he can will himself to exist after being horribly injured. However, this power has limitations, which are not easily understood.
However, Night Wild will undoubtedly get to see the full extent of this arkana's power.]
Is that the best you can do?!
[Rosen charges towards the towering icy pillars and the once-red hot flames of his lance flash white. The moment his spear pierces the ice, a wave of hot steam erupts from the fracture, and the ice begins to melt. He cuts through the ice like a hot knife through butter. It's quite an impressive feat if it weren't for this psycho charging at her.]

No... She's going to win. She's going to survive.
There's only one person who can beat her, and he's not her.
In this form, she can manipulate the five elements, and use the power of yin and yang... This guy only seems to have one element, fire. She can work around that.
Several more ofuda fly forward, and this time, they form pillars of earth. These pillars, however, seem to be doing something strange- They grow thicker and stronger the more fire comes through them. In the five-element cycle, fire begets earth. The ashes of fire create new earth, forming an even thicker defensive formation of pillars.]
Talk too much and you'll bite your tongue, old man.
no subject
Old man? You're still calling me "old"?
[He remarks as the entire length of his lance pulses with a new power, hotter than the stars above. This was a risky move on his part, especially once those white flames suddenly began to burn blue. He backflips away, landing in a low crouch a few feet away. The blue flames burn violently, reducing everything in his path to cinders.
He planning on surging forward like he done earlier in hopes of breaking through this new barricade. If he does, this could prove rather disastrous, unless Night Wild has another card up her magical sleeves.]

[But for all her bluster, the lance breaks through her barrier. With no defenses, the lance pierces through her chest, an easily fatal wound as she falls to the ground...
... and with a cloud of smoke, the fallen figure is replaced with a log with a hole through it, with her fox mask on it.
"Owl night? All right!", a strange voice calls from nowhere. But Night Wild is seemingly nowhere to be seen... except that feather-shaped knives fly from the darkness at several angles. All aimed at elbows, knees, joints- She's trying to disable him non-lethally, while hiding away where she can't be seen.]

Illusion magic is his weakness.
Rosen can't fight what he cannot see or touch. He had a similar problem when pitted against the Arkana of Indolence, especially since the Jurisdiction of Sloth covers everything from illusionary magic to sense deprivation and even hallucinations.
This is bad, advantageous for his opponent, but very bad for him.]
Show yourself, you bloody coward!
[He's positively seething right now, with a wild expression in his mismatched eyes. His curious gold eye begins to shine brightly as he attempts to dispel whatever the fuck this is. Unfortunately, Rosen becomes distracted while trying to figure out the innerworkings of this spell, when something sharp nails him in the arm.]
Eh?
[As he looks down at the feather-like dagger, another one strikes him in the opposite arm and twice in the knees. The impact nearly knocks Rosen down, but he stabs his glowing blue spear into the ground, causing another large patch of grass to burn to ash. He refuses to be brought low by some detestable, lowly creature, even if the odds are stacked against him.
Such is the nature of vanity. Even now, Rosen believes he can will a victory from nothing.]

[Her voice echoes. This isn't a fair fight- But he made it clear it wasn't going to be from the start. She can't survive even a single hit... Even a glancing blow from that spear could likely prove fatal. But instead...
... She doesn't want to kill. That's not who she is. That's not what she does. She can't kill him, even if he would never return that same courtesy to her.
This is a dilemma. She wants to demand he surrender, but... he seemed to take pride in not fighting fair. Could she trust his surrender? If he was just a monster, she'd just crush his Seed and be done with it, but this guy seems different. She could try to attack his spear... would that work? Or could she even steal it? Was it summoned, or was it made?
... Still. With all that fire, at the very least, there's one thing she can try.]
Ninja Art: Knife IN!
[She throws two knives again. This time, though, rather than aiming at him, the knives are going to strike where his shadow's hands are- Pinning the shadow means the hands are immobilized as well, as if they were pinned through.
... As long as his shadows remain there, anyway.]

Maybe the pain is sobering him up a little? Rosen has a relatively high pain tolerance when he's all fired up, pardon the pun. However, even Rosen has a pain threshold that he cannot overcome. It would be too much for him, likely killing him. Unfortunately, he's nowhere near that limit now.]
Are you trying to use my own words against me? [He sucks his teeth, annoyed.] Cheeky little shit!
[When Rosen attempts to remove one of those fancy feathery daggers from his arm, he becomes immobilized. In a state of panic, he takes a quick glance around.]
The hell did you do?!
no subject
Better to be safe, first. She can't risk him going nuts on her...
There's the sound of smoke, and then a new figure walks out of the shadows. A violet armor, a ninja in an owl mask. Still, she doesn't seem to be taking risks, staying well back, and ready to vanish again in an instant.]
Why shouldn't I? They were your words. Are you going to try to tell me you didn't mean it now?
[His other question is ignored... for now.]
no subject
[Well, damn. At least he's honest, right? Rosen is many things, but he isn't a liar, at least not voluntarily.]
There's no need to "fight fair" when you know you're going to win.
[The moment he sees that little ninja, a smirk appears on his lips. To be fair, she is really small in comparison to him, even with that nifty set of armor. Even so, Rosenkrantz is not amused by her. That much is clear from the wild expression in his eyes. It appears that this bastard has another ace up his sleeve, or so it seems. No one sane wants to call Rosen's bluff, especially when he's poured so much magical power into that flaming blue lance.]
Isn't that why you immobilized me? Because you know it would only take one little stab to kill you.
[Despite being immobilized, the Arkana of Vainglory slowly tilts his head to the side, a playful grin on his lips. Yes, he is resisting her hold even now.]
no subject
... What should she do now? What's wrong with this guy? Is he just insane?
The figure in front of him throws a few more knives into his shadow, stitching him to the ground more securely for good measure... she hopes.]
What the hell is wrong with you? Someone calls you old and you jump straight to murder? Are you insane?
[Knows he's going to win... Jumping straight to the murder... What's going on with this guy?]
no subject
[His expression changes once more, and whatever joy he felt from knowing she was afraid fades into cold indifference. It's almost like the proverbial mask has slipped off.]
What are you going to do about it? Nothing, of course.
[Rosen's right hand twitches slightly as he attempts to flex his fingers. Fortunately, he's left-handed, so that flaming blue lance is still frozen in place.]
If you're quick to hurl petty insults, you should also be quick to accept the consequences, whatever they are.
[He tilts his head once again, this time towards the left. Yeah, that spell going to eventually wear off.]
Are you not the same? You were quick to defend your honor, regardless of the cost, correct?
[Suddenly, the flames around him turn blue, then white, and finally red again. He appears to be cooling down a little. That is a good thing, right?
Maybe.]
no subject
[She's watching him test the limits of the shadow stitch. What should she do here....? She just walks. Talking him down might still be the best course of action, and if he's cooled off...
The owl-armored figure in front of him steps a little closer, cautiously.]
But the problem is if you're willing to try to kill people over something that little, you're too dangerous to leave running around. Some people mouth of more than others, but that doesn't mean you can kill.
no subject
[What a good question, huh? Rosenkrantz gives the owl-like figure one of his signature smirks while flexing his hand once more. One of the feathered knives bursts into red flames with just the flick of his wrist. A second feather catches fire, followed quickly by a third.
Is this Rosen's doing? It must be, right? But how? He is gradually nullifying the effects of her spell through sheer willpower. One by one each of those little feathers will crumble into ash until there are none left.]
Consequences are consequences, yes? You don't get to choose the severity of the punishment because you're on the receiving end.
[Rosen gives a playful hum as he reaches up to stroke his beard. He is now free to move his right arm. His left hand now holds a now dormant red spear without its signature red glow. The flames have subsided.]
Although I don't want to become a tyrant. No, that would become tiresome quickly and make my stay here less enjoyable.
[After a moment or two of thought, Rosen glances over at his opponent and mutters the following.]
You win.
no subject
... but then he surrenders.
Is it fake? But... she can't just ignore it.]
You're... surrendering?
[The armored figure in front of him stops, clearly confused...]
