video un:sora

[The recording started with Sora's frowning face, the camera moving as she tried to set her phone. Then she smiled. Waving at the camera.]

Hello everyone! [Then it was back to frowning.] Um, does anyone have advice for budgets? I've got a job now. But it's hard to keep track of everything.

And it seems like food is more expensive at the market since everything with the terminals.

[Or the shops she'd been buying from had been giving her freebies. Or it was something else...]

I know that some believe so. I do not. I see the life in us that I do not see in the native population.

They are more stable, but that does not make them alive.

If I saw you, you would have a light they do not.

Oh. I have not explained... I am not Human. When I say "see", I am not referring to physical eyes, but rather the perception of the Force--that is, the life-force--in and around everything.

They are highly advanced facsimiles--but no. They are not truly alive. They are more like droids made of organic matter, programmed and reprogrammable.

The plants are also simulations and not truly alive. Presumably they are made of genuine organic matter, however, or we would have all starved by now.

That, I do not know. But I would surmise that this is the case. It would be simplest to create everything in the simulation from the same basic matter.

A good question. The creators of this environment clearly have highly advanced technology. None of the simulated organisms contain any mechanical parts or materials.

Yes... perhaps. I have never encountered such technology myself. It is more theoretical in the place and time I am from--a thing people wish to invent but have not succeeded in yet.
