The corruption manifests physically as ink-black marks, but those marks can be slow to progress and easily hidden for those who will. Any character who comes into contact with the corrupted individuals is welcome to opt out of being infected (corruption is not mandatory for them), but as it's not a curse, they don't present as "immune" due to curse alignment.

Going off of Dara's initial observations awhile back about how the world didn't have a spiritual realm but had some sense the "something" was in place instead...Would there be any noticeable change with the "thing" if she were to try to sense it again?

There's no noticeable change, in this case! Dara will continue to sense the strange lack of spiritual presence in the world overall. The spiritual energy radiating from the Chosen is still present.
