I...guess that's good to know. There wasn't a lot going on when I left, but. That can also change really quickly.

hey, things could still be peaceful when you go back. you never know.

[He's partly trying to convince himself too. Hearing how it is for mutants in other worlds, Scott feels like there's a decent chance that things will become chaotic back home. Maybe not though. He can hope.]

I guess they could. But there's a good chance that my friends are the source of the chaos.

Especially if they're looking for me.

[He knows that Tsuna is a mafia leader of sorts. It's a little weird to imagine mafia people throwing fireballs and such at each other, but guess that's how it works in his world.]

Well, here's hoping. The last time they thought I was kidnapped, they went after the yakuza in the area looking for me.

But yeah...I think that's it. They're...they're my guardians. it feels weird being without them for so long.

Don't get me wrong though, I'm glad i have you and all the other friends I've made here. Not taking that for granted.

it's cool man. besides, i kind of get it. for the longest time i wanted mutants to be here and i just got lucky with that.

[Granted, sometimes things are complicated between them, but Scott doesn't want to get into it. He's still happy they're here anyway.]

he's not exactly from my world, but we're pretty much best friends still.

yeah pretty much.

i think he's from the 2000s while i'm stuck in the 80s but we're supposed to be around the same age. heh, strangely enough, even though there's more mutants here, none of them are actually from my timeline.

The whole time thing and timeline kind of goes over my head.

[It's not quite the time travel he's used to, and even then, the time travel he's used to can still be confusing.]

But you still know them and everything? That's a little weird. But not really a bad thing I think?

nah, it's not bad. i think a part of me was disappointed at first, but i'm just glad they're around now. like kurt's still my friend despite different circumstances and everything.

like i don't think there is a timeline where i don't have lasers coming out of my eyes. it's probably the same thing for you.

and your friends are probably still your friends.

I hope so. It's nice thinking that there's some way that we're always brought together, one way or another.

[That that wouldn't happen is just bleak, if he's being honest. But there's probably few timelines where he manages to not become the Vongola boss.]

Are you...okay with always having lasers?

[Based on all the other Scotts that he glitched into, he doesn't think there is a version of him that doesn't have his powers. Maybe in one timeline, but...]

yeah, sure. it's pretty much a part of me, you know?

[Even if some days really suck, just being reminded that he can't see things in color anymore. Always needing to wear glasses, but does he want to be fully 'normal' again? Probably not.]

It's not quite the same, but it would be weird not being aware of my flames anymore.

My tutor.

It took a little while at first. I...I'd kinda have to die first? It's kind of hard to explain, but they're initially fuelled by regrets.

So my tutor would shoot me with a magic bullet and I'd be able to come back and act on my dying will.

And from there I learned to control them.

He's kind of hardcore.
