I was. The empire doesn't exist anymore. Anyway, I doubt this little place can support a standing army.

What's wrong with the streets?

[ He isn't worried about armies other than the experience they imply. Other than that, Wen Kexing just takes that as more human world details he doesn't really know much about. This group or that kingdom, they're basically all alike. ]

What difference does it make where you fight? It's fighting either way.

[Yup, he definitely doesn't trust that answer. He's too used to authorities that argue against any fighting that doesn't benefit them while also picking fights that do.]

They probably need to have things stirred up more. It's too quiet. And people duel all the time, so outside is better than inside. They should be happy.
