[Kotone has never really been one to like... start things. Mostly people told her to join other things, or she followed her friends with their interests. But here, it seems like people are just kind of left to their own devices, so a few days after the return to the forest and the fruitless search for the missing, she's getting antsy. She needs something to do and doesn't really know where to start. So-]
Hello! Um, my name is Kotone Shiomi. I was wondering if anyone was starting up any clubs or anything in town! You know, a group of people with similar hobbies or interests, like a sports club, or a book club, or a gardening club...
One of my friends at school started a sewing club. I think I might do something like that, if anybody is interested! Or somebody, [Shinji,] could make a cooking club and give lessons, stuff like that.
[She holds up one finger as if struck by a sudden idea.]
Oh, maybe if we can get a list of everybody's hobbies, we can figure out what kinds of clubs to make? I just think it's important to have something fun to do with everyone, instead of just always worrying about the weird stuff that's going on. So... tell me about what you like to do!

Like Jung for an example. Although he was more known in the field of psychology. Especially his theories regarding the shadows as unconscious and repressed part of one's personality and psyche was rather groundbreaking.

[Thank you, Dazai, for explaining all of this to her. She is simply repeating what he'd told her recently.]
It's kind of neat to think about, isn't it? What's your opinion of it all?

[She's still smiling her best smile, as if none of this is Extremely Interesting at all. It's just a normal conversation!]

...Maybe not. Though, considering their situation it shouldn't be too hard for her to accept and understand.]
We all have some traits of ourselves that we'd rather avoid and reject, right? Something we wouldn't want anyone else to see. A desire, for an example.
When those parts get denied and repressed for too long it might cause a distortion within person's psyche and make them behave in non-favorable way. In some cases it might even affect on the way that person views the world around them. At least according to Jung. But I believe at this point it's vastly agreed fact that in order to live a healthy and stable life one needs to be able to accept themselves as they are and confront their traumas.
Though, I suppose there are cases where that distortion is being enabled by the outer factors. Peers and colleagues for an example.

It's not... exactly like Tartarus, his description. If anything, it reminds her a little bit of Pharos; the way that piece of Death had dwelt within her heart alongside her for almost a decade before finally emerging into his own form. It's hard to know how much of his presence within her had colored the world around her, especially with him gone now. Accept oneself as they are and confront their traumas...
She's quiet for a little while longer after Akechi finishes speaking, her finger on her lips as she mulls it over.]
Accepting yourself as you are sounds good, but confronting your trauma sounds pretty difficult. Sometimes dangerous, I think. [Ken and Shinjiro are a prime example of that.]
Jung says that part of you is the "Shadow," right?
me checking jung's wikipedia page ffffff
Yes. It's one of Jungian archetypes. Shadow is the uncontrollable part of yourself, which is at odds with your 'ideal self', the Persona. [And since he doesn't expect her to be 'in the know' aka purse owner club he'll just casually move to her earlier point:]
Life is hardly a easy thing, Shiomi-san. Although, I'm intrigued to know why you'd think it'd be dangerous.
