OKCINDR POST #2

Ever wanted to have CR with a character and wasn't sure how to get them to cross paths? Wanted a dating app so you can hook up with hot people? Wanted to just find friends because you're a lonely bastard?

With the update of the tablets and the apps, we now have a dating / friendship app called OKCINDR! Players can use it as they please for the two months that it's up -- just imagine that they're profiles to swipe right on and everything. The idea is to encourage CR that may be difficult to get with characters who may or may not be interested in events / posts / logs / other network posts.

So, on July 2nd, characters randomly look back at their tablets to see the following:

This month, if players reset their profile, they will have a list of their choice of questions to answer:

- what is your favorite color, and why?
- describe your ideal date
- what's your favorite food, and are you able to cook it yourself?
- tell us about your very favorite hobby
- do you fear death?
- do you wake in the morning staring into the abyss, wondering if it stares back?
- what constitutes "life"? are you "alive?" how do you know if you are "living?"
- if you could be any animal, what would it be, and why?
- tell your favorite joke

Players, of course, are able to ignore this message. However, if a character wouldn't fill it out but a player would like to participate... the profile mysteriously resets itself. There may even be responses sent from Character A to Character B without Character A actually doing anything, if you'd like! This is a completely opt-in scenario! But for players who would like to participate fill out the post:

[Just a small apology on his end. This person seems really nice and Scott feels just a little bad about teasing her for so long. Just a little though.]

[And just like that? Within an hour, there was Yukina standing by the park with a basketful of sandwiches. As she was looking her eyes around for a certain cyclops, she gave a small hum to herself.

She hoped that this demon(?) was nice.]

[It's not hard to spot Yukina, as it's clear she's standing around with a basket in hand and obviously waiting for him to show up. Luckily, despite his somewhat easygoing nature, he is actually on time and carrying a small bag of his own with said drinks in it. Yeah, he brought a few, just in case she finishes one or two cans, and Scott sends a friendly wave at her as he nears.

He really looks like normal human boy, except for maybe the red sunglasses present.]

Hey, it's me. [There's maybe a small apologetic note to his voice. He really teased her, huh?] Scott Summers-- Cyclops guy.

[When Yukina heard him, she raised an eyebrow or two. Here, she was expecting a 10 foot cyclops to be staring down upon her. To her surprise, she just sees a regular human before her. Tilting her head to the side, she wasn't too sure how to react.]

Really? I thought you were a cyclops! Now that wasn't very fair, I didn't know that!

[And yet, despite her words, she was just happy to know that her new friend was just a human.]

[Oops, she's just a little mad at him still, huh? Only a little, because she's smiling at him and everything. If she needs any further convincing though, he has those cans of soda nearby.]

Yeah, sorry about that. [He's carrying that slight apologetic tone, but it's clear that Scott doesn't feel too bad about everything. They're totally having fun.] The app or whatever picked that picture for me and I just went with it.

Then the app wasn't being very friendly. Although, I have noticed how it seems to make rather discouraging remarks to people...

[Was that supposed to be how technology was? Regardless, she held up the basket.]

But thank you for coming. I managed to make enough sandwiches to fill a big cyclops!

It sometimes just does that. Best to let it roll off your shoulders instead of getting mad. Besides, I can't argue with the current result.

[Free sandwiches for him! But wo, she really went through that extra trouble...]

I might be hungry enough to match the appetite of one still. [Growing teenage boy or something like that. But with a small nod, Scott will lead her to one of the picnic tables at the park, plopping down on the bench. Thankfully, the table is covered by shade from a large tree nearby, so the temperature isn't too bad.]

So, I know you mentioned having Coke, but I got a few extra flavors.

I hope so, I've seen how hungry humans can get after training for so long! I've seen Yusuke and Kazuma eat enough where they can rival some demons!

[Although, she can't say much about Kurama or Hiei since they aren't as around as the other two. Regardless, as she followed Scott, she placed her basket on the table.]

But what kind of flavors do you have? I want to try as many as I can!

[Huh, Yusuke again?]

Yusuke... are you talking about a guy around my age? Loud, looks like a human, but is actually a demon? [There's definite curiosity in Scott's voice even as he starts pulling the cans out of his bag, revealing flavors that are this world's equivalent to sprite, root beer, dr. pepper, and ginger ale. He really came prepared! Mostly because it's his job or whatever to introduce others to great non-American pop.

It's a self-appointed job.]

Help yourself, Yukina.

[Also, wait again...] Wait, are you not human yourself?

[He doesn't sound upset, far from it. Just a little surprised.]

Yes, I believe that is him! Although, I'm surprised you already met him!

[But then again, Yusuke was a rather friendly and loud. Why would he talk to Scott at some point? That said, as she looked at the various sodas before her. It seems that there were quite a few and some that she only had seen once in a while!

As she wanted to say something, she looked up at Scott.]

But no, I'm not. I'm a demon.

[...Yeah, guess he should've expected that answer. If she knows Yusuke and Yusuke is a demon and knows that other demon, Hiei, then guess it's not surprising that she's one too. Just uh, wow, they all look remarkably human. She probably has a certain 'demon scent' has Hiei put it, but to just his boring (mutated) eyes, she seems like any other teenage girl. She's really nice too.

Then again, Yusuke is a pretty normal dude too. Loud, but friendly. Scott likes him a lot.]

Yeah, I met him almost a month ago during the summer festival. Caught him when he was yelling about something, sound familiar?

[Scott teases lightly, his smile increasing.] So, what kind of demon are you?

That sounds a lot like him! I’m just glad to see that he is making some friends here!

[That said, as she starts placing some of the sandwiches out on the table, she gave a small hum to herself.]

As for what kind of demon I am, I’m an ice maiden. I have ice powers and can heal people too.

[Not that sandwiches are the most difficult things to make, but Scott still thinks they look rather tasty as she spreads them across the table. It's not just the hungry boy talking! It's definitely enough to fill him up and maybe bring some home. Share with his roommates that always seem to eat the food out of his fridge. Maybe that's just Kotone though--]

Really, ice? [She doesn't look... icy at all, but Hiei also really doesn't look like a fire demon. Heh, he wonders if Yusuke is some sort of wind demon or something because appearance doesn't match abilities at all.] That's pretty cool.

[Hah.]

You don't have to worry about winter much, do you?

[As she stared at him for a moment, it was then she realized what that joke was!]

Oh! Yes, it is pretty cool! Although, I like to think that it allows me to not feel so cold! Besides, it is rather useful for how cold winter can be in the human world!

[That said, as she looked at the sandwiches before her, she had to wonder if it was enough. She had seen just how much demons and humans can eat!]

However, nothing can be as cold as it is in the ice village!

Yeah, I bet. I grew up in a place that can really cold during the winter, but I'm pretty sure that it's not as cold your ice village.

[He's fine admitting that... Ohio sucks anyway. But time to start digging in, yeah? He nods to the cans still on the table, letting Yukina know that she can go ahead and grab any one she wants, before he reaches over to take one of the sandwiches that she's made. It's not long before he takes a decently sized bite out of it and hopefully it's pretty tasty??]

Really? What kind of place did you grow up in?

[Because she would much rather hear other people talk about their own experiences. Life in her own village was rather dull and lifeless, it was much more interesting to hear how lively everything was outside of the village...

But she didn't think much about it. As she took a can, she stared at Scott to see what he thought about her sandwiches. Of course, it was rather basic. Some ham, lettuce, cheese, bread, and mayonnaise seem to be enough. After all, she had no experience cooking, so this seemed to be decent enough!]

Eh, a boring place off in the suburbs. Nothing really to write home about.

[Although, guess it might be interesting to a demon that's lived in an ice village her whole life? Maybe he'll talk more about it if asked, but right now, he's just taking another large bite out of his sandwich. Some may say that he's definitely displaying some monster like behavior right now. He at least has some manners to swallow his food before speaking up.]
