Ever wanted to have CR with a character and wasn't sure how to get them to cross paths? Wanted a dating app so you can hook up with hot people? Wanted to just find friends because you're a lonely bastard?

With the update of the tablets and the apps, we now have a dating / friendship app called OKCINDR! Players can use it as they please for the two months that it's up -- just imagine that they're profiles to swipe right on and everything. The idea is to encourage CR that may be difficult to get with characters who may or may not be interested in events / posts / logs / other network posts.

So, on July 2nd, characters randomly look back at their tablets to see the following:

This month, if players reset their profile, they will have a list of their choice of questions to answer:

- what is your favorite color, and why?
- describe your ideal date
- what's your favorite food, and are you able to cook it yourself?
- tell us about your very favorite hobby
- do you fear death?
- do you wake in the morning staring into the abyss, wondering if it stares back?
- what constitutes "life"? are you "alive?" how do you know if you are "living?"
- if you could be any animal, what would it be, and why?
- tell your favorite joke

Players, of course, are able to ignore this message. However, if a character wouldn't fill it out but a player would like to participate... the profile mysteriously resets itself. There may even be responses sent from Character A to Character B without Character A actually doing anything, if you'd like! This is a completely opt-in scenario! But for players who would like to participate fill out the post:

[ this enthusiasm is familiar. perhaps that's why he's being lenient. perhaps he misses alfred.

so he waits outside of the inn, leaning against the wall with a flat expression on his face. like he's never smiled in his life. which . . . is probably somewhat true. ]

[ don't worry rafal, vash will smile enough for both of them! which is exactly what he is doing as vash spots the other, a wide grin immediately breaking over his face as he waves a hand enthusiastically over his head at rafal and picking up his steps so that he's nearly jogging across the last few metres. ]

[ yes. entirely too perky. it's like alfred all over again. he sighs. ]

That would be me. Unfortunately.

[ if alfred was his best friend, sure!!!!!

also, it's clear that rafal's less than enthusiastic reaction doesn't deter vash one bit in taking back his friendliness. it's a bad sign, for sure. ]

How would it be an act? It's always good to meet new people, right?

[ really, what kind of question is that? ]

You could be meet an enemy. A stranger. You have no way of knowing if it'll be good.

[ so says vash, who probably gets shot at every other town he visits. smh. ]

I suppose I am fine as long as no one irritates me. To which I will simply depart. Humans get some leeway at times. For my sister's sake.

That is on purpose. I have . . . amends to make.

[ and thus, rafal must reign himself in. he's not allowed to rail against anyone. or hurt them. ]

And she is not. She is probably safe back on Elyos. She is my twin.

[ probably. it's not as though vash would be willing to tell anyone should they ask - but he's naturally nosy, which is why he gets into so much trouble. ]

Twin? [ wow, what a coincidence ... not that vash would talk to rafal about his, though. ]

[ for a moment, vash is quiet - but oddly enough, not in a way that so often happens when people awkwardly can't find anything to say. it is, just a tiny bit perhaps, commiserating. understanding.

that is before vash springs back into animation, awkwardly shifting his weight from foot to foot and letting out a short, sharp sound that might be taken as trying to laugh. ]

Um ... but you're wanting to make amends, right? That's a good thing!

[ rafal's tone is deceptively flat. all this power and all I have done is proven how worthless I am. ]

I suppose anything above worldender is a step up.

[ he frowns at himself, though. he's being unnecessarily harsh and he knows it. finally rafal shakes his head. why let himself get bogged down by this? ]

vash can feel his smile stiffening with how much an effort he's putting into maintaining it, and he lets out another laugh and shifts his weight a little to one foot. at least the other doesn't seem to be scrutinising him so closely, which is a good thing ... ]

You really don't owe me anything! I'm serious!

[ he has no patience for that. ]

[ sometimes you really need to be decisive like rafal, because vash stops almost mid-sentence, before gulping and falling silent - at least, nearly silent. ]
