Hey everyone, this is Jim Kirk. Welcome to Aldrip's shiny new Adopt-A-Pet app! These lovely puppers are looking for good homes; all adoptions will go through Kakashi. Please reach out to him if you have an interest in any of the dogs you see here. We'll update periodically as dogs are adopted/new dogs taken in; please @thecapn in the help tool to alert me if you notice anything glitching with the application itself.

Tempting, but Repede has a great sense of smell. He'd know if anyone was intruding in his territory, even if temporary.

[Still, it's not like he would want to leave them alone...]

But if you're short of hands, I wouldn't mind babysitting them every once in a while. They can't stay at my room, but I can take them out on a walk.

Fair enough. I take it Repede is waiting for you, outside of this place?

I'll let Kakashi know, but I think he'd definitely appreciate it! I bring toys and food for donations. There are less dogs now than he started with, but still quite a number of them.

Toys and food, huh. You guys need more of those too?

We'll never say no to them. The rate of arriving dogs has slowed, but there's still a decent number. Hoping that changes soon!

...Also, just in case - when you say "arriving dogs", you mean the amount of strays that are in the city, right? Is there a chance for pets to follow us from our home world?

Yes, I mean the ones that Kakashi finds. It seemed like there were at least one or two a day for a while there.

[ And where the hell they were coming from, well, Jim had no answers there, either. ]

I'm not sure. It's a good question. I've heard that there are animals from people's home worlds that have shown up here, but no specific ones, unfortunately. Is Repede a dog? If you let me know what breed, we can keep an eye out for him.

Repede is...Well, I guess he's special. I'm not sure if his breed even exists in other worlds. But that also makes him easy to spot - he's like a blue wolf, with a light gray underside and a tail shaped like a bolt. He also has a pipe with him all the time.

[ The description is, as Yuri said, fairly easy to spot - but the pipe comment gets a bit of a head tilt on Jim's end. ]

...pipe? How do you mean?

[ All Jim can imagine in his head is a piece of plumbing; if he means a smoking pipe, Jim hasn't seen those outside of a history textbook. ]

[The gap between their technological periods is hilarious, really. At least plumbing a familiar concept in Yuri's world.]

Like the stuff guys use to smoke with - it's a memento from his old master. It's made out of wood, with this circular chamber at the front and connected to a thin stem at the side. You're supposed to blow through it, but Repede just chews on the old thing.

[ Sometimes Jim forgets he's ostensibly from the 'future' in comparison to most people around here. Then someone mentions something like taxes and Jim Remembers. ]

Ah, I see. He uses it like a chew toy; for a second there you had me imagining a smoking blue wolf.
