They aren't directly tied to me, or some aspect of me, or however those things work again. They're demons who exist completely separately from me. It's just that I've entered a contract with them, so I'm their master.

I'm assuming the problem lies somewhere in the fact that I need to summon them from their own demon realm through my world to this place. I can do the first part of that just fine, but this place is probably not letting me drag whatever I want into here. I doubt I'll ever get a concrete answer to that, so I'm just going to guess that's it.

he might not always be able to read a room, but he can in this instance. it's easy to say "well you probably shouldn't have turned to a bunch of demons to do it", but he knows too how it feels to be friendless. to want the company of others. just in his case... he felt like he had to be extremely ridiculous to get that sort of attention, to stand out. and he still is extremely ridiculous (see: this post), sometimes for attention, and sometimes just because that's just how he is.
