If I was as I am now, a man with responsibilities to uphold, yes. I would.

As previously mentioned human language oft requires a name to either imply or explicitly state respect upon the subject. Lack of a name, and thus lack of being able to categorize and understand something, leads to fear and dehumanization of it--for lack of a better word at the moment.

In a different life, under different circumstances...I cannot say. I too am but a man with reticence towards the unknown, much as I work to push past it for the sake of my duties.
