6. If at all possible, it may be worth discussing your friend's feelings with the one who knows. Someone uninvolved is going to have a much harder time assuaging any guilt.

Oh, no no! I'm not from here. But I've been here for a few months too.

My friend and I got separated at first, but then they found me in a tree! So I think we arrived at the same time. I'm just glad they did before birds or whatever picked at me.
