It seems I'm not the only one who was contacted for "sentencing," so I'd like to pool our information. I was contacted by someone named "Jerry" and told to go to City Hall. How many others received a similar order? I know it wasn't everyone, but maybe we can get an accurate count. Were you asked to meet with the same person, or someone different?

If anyone else feels comfortable sharing what their "sentence" was, that could also be useful. Mine was to investigate people I'm close to for evidence of crimes. 

[His tone is carefully neutral, but he doesn't seem thrilled about that. Loyalty... he still doesn't see any way to consider it a crime. Now he's being asked to atone for something like that?

... Anyway. What else does he need to add? He thinks about it for a moment, frowning softly, and then adds:]

Precisely. They call us criminals and seem determined to fantasize about rehabilitation, but their methods mean that they are just as damned as the rest of us by their own rules.

I assume they are basing on it on some method they have experienced or seen before. We might not be the first they have tried it on.

We should investigate them.

I agree. If they're not willing to be transparent, I don't think we have a choice.

Considering it hasn't been very accessible at all so far, yes. That could make it more of a challenge though.

Of course, one must keep the balance of power protected. More information is necessary before there is a direct strike, in my opinion.

Most urgently, we need to know more about "The Council." Who they are, how they choose sentences, and why none of us seem to remember seeing them.

Agreed. The locals may know, but I doubt they will talk much.

They seem to be as tampered as we are.

I suppose the best way to get answers about them would be going into City Hall.

It seems the same as those who were taken for judgment. They know they went and know they were sentenced, but many of the details of such an experience are muted or foggy.

That's what I've been getting, too. No one seems to remember. Which means if we are able to get into City Hall, someone should probably be recording the investigation.

Have we heard if technology goes haywire or is blocked from operating while in the City Hall?

Good question. I didn't notice that being the case, but it'd be better to double-check that.

Alternatives would be focusing tablets through windows rather than inside, assuming windows provide an appropriate vantage point.

I don't remember seeing many windows inside the building, but that's another thing to make certain of beforehand.
